Camp Capilano — Attraction in District of North Vancouver

Our group had an uncomfortable stay. When the price is low, there`s a reason. This place is more like a youth camp. The bunk beds were old, small and short for adults. The bed was squeaky. I consider myself short, but the bed was small for me. Not only that, the mattress condition was terrible. When I arrived there, the mattress looked dirty. We cleaned it a few times with the disinfectant spray we bought, and the black dirt kept coming out. Even though Our group bought our bedding or sleeping pad, some of our group members had skin breakouts. I guess you get what you pay.

This place is clean by the guest. When you leave, you have to clean and mop the entire area. The broom and dustpan were mismatching, so it made us difficult to clean. I guess they only check if the visitor cleaned the area as they wanted. During our stay, we spotted mice a few times.

The kitchen was well equipped, and the washroom was clean, considering the price. The camp also provided plenty of woods for the fireplace and campfire. So,...

I do not recommend going to this site. The people responsible for the site have bad dealings and do not find dealing with the tenants. Everything in this site is not available for use, such as the swimming pool. Before we made a reservation, we asked about swimming times. He said it is possible to use at any time if we book the lifeguard who is there. When we go, he said we cannot. Usage is only two hours every day, at a value of $40 per hour per hour. The summit is rented on Friday at 4 pm until Sunday at 1 pm, at a cost of $2800. The problem is that the site has nothing for entertainment. The fire ring does not work. Loved the camp sight. It has: big common area withe fire place and comfy sofas. 2 dormitories with (20 bunk beds and 2 regular beds), 2 stalls washrooms each.

fully equipped commercial kitchen. dining area with 4 folding picnic like tables. washer and dryer. outdoor private swimming pool. outdoor area that could work for sports activities.

The camp is close to hiking trails that takes you to the Capilano dam.
