Capilano River Park is one of the most stunning natural spots in Vancouver, offering a perfect blend of pristine wilderness and recreational opportunities. The park is famous for its scenic river and the iconic Capilano Dam, which stands as one of its main highlights. The dam provides breathtaking views of calm waters surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees. The sound of flowing water, paired with the backdrop of mountains and forests, creates a serene and energizing atmosphere.

The park’s natural beauty is truly captivating. Every corner of Capilano River Park offers something unique, from rushing rivers and rocky cliffs to ancient trees. In the fall, the changing colors of the leaves create a picturesque setting, while spring brings fresh air and vibrant greenery. Even in winter, the park’s peaceful ambiance offers a magical escape. The untouched nature makes it an ideal place to disconnect from the hustle of city life.

One of the standout features of this park is its long and unspoiled hiking trails, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. These trails wind through dense forests and alongside the river, providing incredible views of wild nature. Along the way, you’ll find wooden bridges and various lookout points that make the hiking experience even more memorable. The trails cater to different levels of hikers, making it accessible for everyone.

If you’re looking for a tranquil and beautiful place to enjoy nature, Capilano River Park is an excellent choice. Whether it’s capturing the breathtaking scenery, walking along the scenic trails, or simply enjoying the peaceful environment, this park offers an unforgettable experience. Make sure to visit the dam and explore the amazing trails...

Beautiful park. Very easy walking trails that are family-friendly but it's not a good place for avid hikers who want a challenge. Really more of a casual strolling place.

There are a few nice little scenic spots, but it can get quite crowded in certain areas at certain times of day.

The park and trails are FREE. The reviews talking about prices are for a different (part of the) park with a similar name. You do not have to do the suspension bridge, and it is a rip-off. You can enjoy the rest of the park without it just fine.

I only wish that they had rangers here because I ran into two groups that were totally destroying the peaceful nature of the place with incredibly loud music blasting from a stereo. (One was a family having a picnic, and the other was a group of Spanish tourist youth, who were also screaming and yelling at each other for no reason over the music.) Totally spoils the serene atmosphere of the river and forests, and disturbs the wildlife. All the birds were gone.

Also, the Cleveland Dam which is at the north end of this park isn't that special. It's the walking trails in the forest that are the real draw. There are also some really cool...

Great place for a walk, pictures or a family picnic. The views of Capilano lake with the mountains in the background are gorgeous! You can see the gondola going up Grouse the distance and people paragliding from the mountain on sunny days. You can walk on the right hand side down a trail to get a view of Cleveland Dam as well as walk across the top and get a view from above!

There are a couple picnic tables and they have ledges on the end to hold BBQs. Lots of beautiful trees great views and some green space for the kids to play. Great place for a date, with family or just to walk around and spend some time in nature.

Pictures came up in random order. First is the sun coming through the mist on tandem from the lower trail, the second is the walkway above the dam, third is the top is the lower trail, 4th is looking from the top of the trail to the fenced lookout area, then the bathrooms, the view just below the lake, the lakefront toward the parking lot, from the lower trail, then last two pics are of the water flowing from the dam. Clearly worth a visit and...
