The Second Canyon Viewpoint in British Columbia is a hidden gem, offering stunning panoramic views of nature's raw beauty. Nestled in the lush greenery of a dense forest, this viewpoint is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility. It overlooks a deep, rugged canyon carved by centuries of flowing water, presenting a mesmerizing display of jagged cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and the vibrant hues of the surrounding vegetation. Visitors are often greeted by the soothing sounds of rushing water echoing through the canyon, adding to the immersive experience. The area is accessible through well-maintained trails that wind through towering trees, making the journey as rewarding as the destination. Along the way, hikers may encounter diverse wildlife, including birds, and even the occasional black bear. The viewpoint itself features a secure platform, allowing visitors to safely admire the breathtaking scenery. It’s an ideal spot for photography, painting, or simply soaking in the serenity of the wilderness. Whether visited during the vibrant colors of autumn, the snowy tranquility of winter, or the lush greenery of summer, Second Canyon Viewpoint promises an unforgettable experience. It’s a perfect getaway for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and escape the hustle of daily life.

Best viewpoint to see the water slide from. We didn't see anyone going down it into the pool of water below, but it was raining and not many people want to swim in these temperatures. There is a strange little entrance into the side of the cliff face, pictured below (to the left of the water slides).

This is the furthest point of the lower trail that ends right before the dam - depending on the strength of water flow, it can be pouring quite heavily, but it makes for a neat experience! At this point, everything was wet and you likely can't stay longer than a few minutes as it's difficult to see.
