*Back in 2001, Grinder was found wandering alone on a logging road in Invermere B.C. Sadly, his mother was never found. Grinder is an outgoing and high-spirited grizzly bear and for sure he will live happily in his two-hectare (five-acre) mountaintop habitat ever after. Coola was found on a highway near Bella Coola, BC. in 2001. He was an orphaned bear cause his mother had been killed by a truck. Coola is an easygoing grizzly bear and loves to play with his underwater bath toys.
**Also visitors can join the daily owl talks and birds in motion demonstrations. The βbirds in motionβ includes the extraordinary hunting skills of the Golden Eagle (one of BC's largest birds of prey), Peregrine Falcon (the worldβs fastest living animal) and the red tailed hawk (North America's most...

From the outset, the panoramic views captured through drone shots were nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the sprawling landscapes, majestic mountain peaks, and dense forests that define the region. Particularly mesmerizing was the unobstructed view of downtown Vancouver, framed elegantly against the Pacific coastline, creating a picture-perfect tableau that transitioned beautifully into a vibrant, golden sunset. The entire scene was both humbling and awe-inspiring, reinforcing Grouse Mountainβs reputation as the βPeak of Vancouver.β
The Gondola ride, an experience in itself, offered a smooth and scenic ascent, providing uninterrupted views of the cityscape and surrounding nature. It was an excellent way to appreciate the vastness and beauty of the area, all from the comfort of a modern, well-maintained cabin. Notably, Grouse Mountain extends a special discounted rate of only $75 for British Columbia residents, making this remarkable experience even more accessible and appealing.
In addition to the visual splendor, the culinary offerings were equally impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed a rich, aromatic coffee that was both refreshing and perfectly suited to the brisk mountain air. It was the ideal complement to a day full of activities. Speaking of which, the skiing and tubing experiences were outstanding. The well-groomed slopes catered to various skill levels, ensuring that both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts could fully enjoy the mountainβs winter sports offerings. Tubing, in particular, added an exhilarating and playful dimension to the day, making it a favorite highlight.
In sum, my visit to Grouse Mountain delivered an exceptional blend of adventure, relaxation, and stunning scenery. It stands as a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable experience...
Β Β Β Read moreMy review consists of 2 parts: visiting with younger kids (6-8 years old), and visiting with a group of adults:
With Kids 3 out of 5 stars. We came here recently with our two sons. We arrived at 10 am. There is a kids canopy play area on the map they were very excited about, but when we arrived we walked down to it to find it closed (opens at 11:00, but only with a guide and requires checking in with guest services). None of that info was on the map. We were disappointed there wasnβt just a play area for kids as there is so much for adults. We did enjoy the grizzly bears (after they came out of the woods), and a short photo op with an owl, but our favorite thing was the lumberjack show. The kids and all adults loved it! Beware though: the mosquitos up there are relentless and everywhere. There are so many we constantly had to be waving in front of our faces to keep them away. Soβ¦ if going with kids, time your ascent to the shows/activities and ask for specific instructions when purchasing tickets to get the most out of your very expensive ride to the top.
Adults only 4 out of 5 stars: This place offers a lot in all seasons for adults. My favorite activity (additional charge) was the zip lines. You go on 5 progressively longer lines, including the final one that takes you from one mountain peak to the other. Amazing experience! Aside from that there are ropes courses (again an additional charge), restaurants, all the stuff from the kids review and just taking in amazing views. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the multitude of additional charges on already expensive tickets and the huge amounts of mosquitos! Sooooo many. We didnβt experience any mosquitos during our trips to Vancouver except up here and they are so thick you can see them around you. Bring bug spray and it will be better.
I still recommend this place, but just time things and come...
