Travel past Snag Tree (9WQC+FXC North Vancouver, British Columbia) & begin ascending the trail. The trail forks after ~100 meters. In winter, the trail to the east is called Fritz's way (aka Alpine Trail in summer & follows a less avalanche prone route during winter). The ridge trail (aka Snowshoe Grind) is the western trail that travels up & over Dam mountain. Both trails meet on the northern side of Dam mountain continuing to Crown or Goat Mountains.

Beautiful views. Snow makes it majestic, very quiet, and tranquil. Coming back down is super fun with all the sliding! Can’t wait to be back to experience it in summer too. The trail is well maintained but closer to the peak it can get dangerous. On a sunny day, you can see all of Vancouver and even UBC. Snowshoe rentals are also reasonable and that’s what we did.

It is pretty easy for you till this part of the hiking 🄾 till the full journey to the Crown Mountain!!! If you feel uncomfortable or feel hard to come to this point while going to the journey to the Crown Mountain, I recommend you going back in here!!! Because it will be harder in the back part!! As the time goes by!!!
