Went here last night and had an amazing time! The other skaters were really supportive and there was a good turn out of people at various skating levels. I myself, went skating for the first time and although it was difficult I got the hang of it after a while and was able to skate competently. The music selection was awesome and the staff are just as awesome. This venue DOES suffer from some flaws however. The lights were cool but it definitely could use more mood lighting, lazers, and maybe a disco ball. Also......guys...the floor...... Listen, I know people are skating and scuffing up the floor, I get that. The floor is uneven though, with bumps marked out by high visibility yellow tape like a construction site. Some parts of the floor look like the old linoleum was ripped off and...that's it, a patch of bare concrete in the middle of the floor roughly 2X3 meters. Fix that and this place gets my fifth star.

I am glad to have a place to skate indoors ! It would be really nice if there was a way to separate the rink from the snack area and have some rails up " forming" the rink, but that would be tricky with the pillars. The epoxy floor can be slippery if you are wearing the wrong wheels as well. It can be tricky to navigate around the pillars if you're a new skater , you can't get a true oval. Overall I enjoyed my visit and will be back regularly when the snow hits the ground. Staff were nice and friendly ! As a former Lloyd's regular I was spoiled with a hardwood floor but those days are long gone now! I think this rink is great for new skaters to try things out and for advanced skaters to practice new things. The rink was empty when I attended so I was able to play around the pillars and practice some new things without getting in anyone's way.

We were stuck in edmonton from a snowstorm so we looked for fun indoor things to do. We went with 3 kids. They had rollerskate rentals, free helmet and elbow knee and wrist guards. The space is very large so even with lots of people you have space to Rollerskate around. They have flashing lights on so be aware if prone to seizures. They have an automatic pizza machine and a few snacks you can purchase. Picnic tables to sit and take a break or for people not skating. You can request your favorite songs. We stayed for 2 hrs the kids loved it and they were exhausted after. They have lessons as well. We didn't utilize this but it looked like they were very helpful and friendly with this. They also sell a bunch of rollerskates, helmets and parts. Recommend it for anyone wanting to try rollerskating.

It looks to me like this business is being targeted by anti vax propagandists trying to politicize absolutely everything, and tear down others and their success. And that's a real shame.

Everybody has their own opinions on the pandemic and what should and shouldn't be done but ultimately private business owners have an obligation to follow government guidelines, but also have the right to refuse service at their discretion.

I do not believe this business owner is trying to maliciously discriminate. They are simply trying to do their best under difficult and uncertain circumstances to safeguard themselves, their staff and patrons, as best as they can. Given that fake tests were being passed off as real and got caught, I think it's reasonable they would just not want to deal with test results at all anymore. Just as some businesses refuse to take fifty or hundred dollar bills as payment, because they don't want to risk counterfeit bills. If you choose not to vaccinate that is your business, you do you, but unfortunately using negative test results to gain entry to businesses is not a guarantee, and is a risk you're choosing to take.

I can understand it would be frustrating to be turned away after taking the time to get there, and really looking forward to it. Hopefully having their policy clearly posted on their website can help others avoid this problem moving forward. 🙂 And I'm sure they hope to see everybody and welcome everybody as soon as this pandemic is over and we can all move on.

With regards to the floors etc, yes unfortunately there are some rough patches that can be challenging, but it's still very fun and absolutely worth it. It's just nice to have somewhere to skate until the flooring is changed. I believe they were just eager to open up so everybody could start having some fun. Their intention was to bring some fun and enjoyment back into people's lives. They deserve the chance to do just that.I think they're doing a great job with what they've got, and I'm glad they're committed to continuing to make it an even better experience in the future.

They're all very knowledgeable about skates, skate equipment, and skating itself. They are always happy to help with any questions I've had, and they're friendly and professional. What more can you ask for when going roller skating?

Keep up the great work guys, and I look forward to skating with...

5-Star Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My wife, two daughters, and I came here for a family night out — and we had a fantastic time. Yes, it may seem a little expensive at first glance, but as an entrepreneur myself, and coming from an entrepreneurial family, I understand the overhead involved in running a space like this. It’s a large facility — and just keeping the lights on, covering rent, heat, electricity, staff, and maintenance is no small feat.

We’re Albertans — and more specifically, Edmontonians — and if we want to see local businesses like this thrive, we need to come together and show our support. This isn't some giant corporation getting rich off admission fees. It’s a local business run by people who took a risk to build something for the community. That kind of courage deserves encouragement, not criticism.

The floors? Honestly, they're not nearly as bad as some of the reviews make them out to be. Are there areas for improvement? Sure. But the only way a place like this can improve is if we actually support it. Let’s not tear it down before it has a chance to grow. Give it time, and I believe many of the issues people are pointing out will be addressed.

Keep this in mindt hings aren’t as cheap as they used to be — that’s just the world we live in now. But places like this bring something priceless: memories. Walking in here brought me right back to being a teenager hanging out with friends — and now I get to share that experience with my kids.

We need to support entrepreneurs who take these kinds of risks. I truly wish them all the success in the world — and we’ll definitely be back.

Highly recommend this place for a fun, local family outing. Let’s keep it...

November 4, 2024, at 4 PM (Monday): We had an amazing time at Rollers Roller Rink Inc. We were able to request our favorite music to be played. The floor of the rink is large and smooth. While I was skating, one of my roller wheels came off. Luckily, I was near the railing, so I grabbed onto it and didn't hurt myself. I then went to Bryde, the kind and helpful worker there, for assistance. She fixed my skate and even taught me how to put the roller wheel back on. She made sure all the wheels were securely attached. Then she told me that one of my roller skates was missing a stopper. I explained that I had lost the stopper at a previous location of her company before they moved to this one. She said that she had found the stopper and had been looking for its owner for years. I had visited the old location but never asked for it because I thought it was lost forever. I'm so glad to know that Rollers Roller Rink Inc. is very honest. If they find any lost items on the rink, they keep them until they find the rightful owner. I will definitely continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you, Bryde, for taking the time to fix my roller skate wheels. You went above and beyond to provide excellent service. I truly appreciate your help and kindness. Lots of...
