If you have a small child, this is one of those places that youâll only ever leave when youâve reached the point that you simply need to drag them away screaming (I mean that as a positive, not a negative). It shares a property with the fire station, where they have a small fire truck that your child can get in. At the fire station they gave us a colouring book, plastic helmit, rub-on tattoo, and badge sticker. Thereâs also a vintage plane on display across the parking lot.
We went when it was âclosedâ on a Monday. This did not matter, as the only place that was off-limits was the inside of the old train station, which has some displays but was not strictly necessary to enjoy the site.
