It's a quiet yet lively corner where people, old or young, go for a walk or meet a friend or bring a child for a bit of fresh air. Officers' Square is an important landmark of the city. Read moreI visited early in the summer, so there were no special events or features in the square, just construction crews, the museum, some placards and a patch of grass, statues and benches. I spent a couple of interesting hours in the museum and wandering the square. Looking at the posters and materials I am sure it is a vibrant place in summer, with re-enactments and festivals. I think you will find more interesting architecture and substance just up the street where the art museum is, in restored buildings that look more like the barracks and other historic...
