I came down from Timmins for a doctors appointment and decided to spend a couple of hours at the KUPP. As a normal mom, plus traveling and scheduling everything. I did my research before going. Seen the prices online and the menu. Our intention was to go there play for a few hours and have lunch. Since we were a big crowd of 7, (4adults and 3kids 10m,3&6) we wanted to buy a pizza. Now that we pay for our entry (which I think they over charged us) didn’t give us our receipt and when we did ask for it the employee mentioned that she can’t go back to retrieve it. Kids are having fun now and playing. We were about to order our pizza for lunch. We get to the counter to order, noticed that on Monday and Tuesday they won’t be serving pizza until after 3pm. We explain to them that they didn’t advertise it on their socials that they should still honour it or at least let us order a pizza to bring in. Then she mentioned the no outside food or drinks rule. After we ordered for 4hotdogs and three drinks that was more than the pizza itself. They didn’t have any CASH! Um hello you have claw machine, massage chair, car rides and candy machines. Machines that need loonies and toonies for and they had no change. Near the end of our visit that’s when my mom noticed some parents brought in Starbucks coffee. As we were leaving we even brought that up to the staff. All they could do to answer shrug their shoulders up and do the I don’t know face 🤷♂️. That was my first ever experience there… and it might be my last… For the amount that we spent there. I could have went to science north instead. 2 stars for overall experience 5 stars...
Read moreThe good and the “Booooooo”: This place is super cool! We came to Sudbury from 5 hours out of town for a hockey tournament and were looking for something extra fun to do with the kids (4 kids, aged 8-10) for the cherry on top of the weekend. We saw that KUPP had Laser Tag which was exciting because we don’t have it in our area so we called a day ahead to request a time reservation. Hostess informed us that they only took reservations for birthday parties but was very helpful to let us know what time the birthday parties finished so we could plan when to expect the Lazer Tag would be available. We arrived early and the kids had a great time in the play structure area (which was impressively well-kept and clean!) and then moved on to the glow-in-the-dark mini putt area to kill some time before the birthday parties finished up. While we did that, a large group had come in and booked the next time slot (fair), but also the following 3 time slots. There were no extra vests for our kids to join in because of the group’s size and they’d essentially been allowed to reserve the rest of the evening which we were told we could not do for just one time slot. The kids were super disappointed because Lazer Tag for them was the main event, and us parents were frustrated because we were told that reserving time ahead was not their policy. We didn’t feel there was anything the staff could have done to resolve it, and they were all very polite. This wildly irrational policy loophole was at fault for killing the experience. That said, if we weren’t so far out of town, we’d definitely...
Read moreI planned a birthday for my daughter here and had put the maximum amount of kids I was allowed (8 total)y. when booking the party online, and I paid for extras (themed decorations, themed cake and themed loot bags) When the day came to go in to pay the balance, the employee told me my balance which was almost $60 more than what my receipt had showed was owed. No explanation as to why this was, just that I had to pay what it showed in their system. The poor girl had to deal with me instead of the supervisor or manager coming out to speak with me and yet no explanation was provided as to why this was my total. It was finally figured out, but this is how our experience started. Once we came for the actual party the kids did have a good time playing. We go our food, but was not provided a host which was included in the package I paid for, and I wasn't provided anything to serve the pizza with. With covid, you'd think serving utensils would be provided. Then came the cake, which was fine. Again, I served everything myself.. no host to be found. Afterwards, no one came and brought us the coupons that I also was supposed to receive with the package I paid for. None for my guests, and no play again coupon for my kiddo. So in all, we didn't receive the invitations as per the package, no host, no play again coupons, and they tried to overcharge me without my consent. Would I bring my kid here to play again? Probably. Would I book a party here again? Absolutely not. Complete rip off, and absolutely no communication. Would...
