Pizzeria Roma 1894 — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

I was looking for an authentic Italian lasagna dinner to take home after work. A friend has been posting on Facebook how amazing Pizzeria Roma is, so I decided to try their lasagna, with a side Caesar salad, and their famoux cannolis. Well, I was not disappointed. The lasagna was oozing with fresh ingredients and a beautiful balance of spices, and I was sorry I did not order the family size. The Caesar salad dressing was "chef's kiss", and the cannolis....well, I ate two in the car on the way home, and was obligated to share the rest with my son when I got home, which broke my heart. When I picked up my order at the Lasalle location I was greeted like I was a person of importance, and that made me feel welcomed and special. Paris street location. Stayed locally and this was walking distance from hotel. It was so neat to see the wood oven right at the front! Asked for pizzas (let’s eat meat and pepperoni) well done. Both were SO AMAZING! Didn’t ask for thin crust (my preferred) but both were thin crusted also. Toppings did not weigh down pizza and it was SO FLAVOURFUL! When leaving Sudbury, I picked up 2 pizzas (New York steak and margherita) to enjoy at home after my 5hr drive. Owner is so pleasant and friendly. Place is very clean. During Halloween I had the pleasure of being served by a gentlemen named Dawson at the Lasalle location. Despite being the sole staff member working during a very busy time, Dawson managed to make the wait personable. His capacity to juggle multiple calls, making the food, as well as serving individuals in the front was impressive. He ensured that everyone was attended to with a level of efficiency and effectiveness that is rarely seen during busy and hectic service times. Dawson truly does deserve the accolades.
