Although a tad small (don't come flocking here from all parts of the city, please, lol)... BUT, i love the vibe: it;s children-oriented, QUITE well maintained, and has a lovely sandy beach to play on, or just sit and enjoy the ambiance. The lake is MUCH cleaner now than it used to be: its not very deep so it is prone to becoming easily contaminated... but it's been cleaned up considerably in recent years. On a hot summer day, a lovely little spot right next to the city to get away at, and have a good swim...

small beach with high population makes it very busy, very loud, not helped by the high amount of bugs and the ban on dogs :(
if you can afford the drive, any of the other better lakes or beaches are worth the trek.
