I came here last Sunday to watch an afternoon movie. It was a Hindi movie called Pushpa. Right when I got there I went to the first line. There was 3 guys in front of me. Cashier served them. They left. I step up. And without warning he just turns around and leaves. I try to get someone attention and he looks at me and turns around and walks away as well. I was like WTF. So I go to the next line which is longer. Ppl in front of me are buying food like they at the grocery store. Finally it’s my turn. And the girl had no idea what movie I was talking about. I’m like 1 ticked to pushpa. And she goes what’s that. I’m like your 12 o’clock Hindi movie. It took another girl to tell her for to get it. Luckily I was able to get to my seat while the trailers were just finishing. Half through the movie I needed to use the washroom. After using it I went to the concession are to get a drink. And wow. They all standing there talking to each other and not one person looks up to see me standing there and calling. I had to ask the guy sweeping the floor on guests side. Who had to walk around to the back so he can help me. Even he shook his head at his coworkers who were still busy gossiping. Then once I get back to my seat all of the sudden the movie just stops playing for 20 minutes or so. Apparently they were having a technical problem. The first girl who came to the theatre to tell us seemed annoyed she had to be there. But the girl with the red hair had the right customer service. As she explained what was happening. And gave the theatre free 1 ticket voucher to come back and watch another movie. So it would of been 1 star. Cause of the whole experience from the start. Giving 2 stars cause the girl with the red hair ended the night well for me. Definitely heading back this weekend with the free ticket. See if I have a better...

Megan 2.0…This was one of the worst movie-going experiences I’ve ever had. The theatre was absolute chaos. A large group of kids spent the entire film screaming, yelling, shining flashlights, filming TikToks, and literally running up and down the stairs. It was impossible to focus on the movie with the constant disruption and complete disregard for everyone else in the theatre. They also would stand in front of the screen and talk to their friends at the top of the auditorium from there?!?!
This isn’t a one-time issue either. As mentioned, the same thing happened when I saw Venom, The Drop, and now again during Megan 2.0. Every single time, the experience has been completely ruined by out-of-control behaviour.
I approached a theatre employee during M3GAN 2.0 to report the issue the same way I did during Drop (I learned after Venom). They assured me they would handle the situation and offered vouchers as an apology — but neither happened. The disruptive behaviour continued unchecked for the rest of the film, and I never received any follow-up or the promised vouchers.
It’s extremely disappointing to pay for tickets, expect a relaxing night out, and instead be subjected to what felt like recess in a school gym. Management needs to seriously rethink how they handle guest behaviour and follow through on commitments. I won’t be returning unless something changes.

everyone who saw Venom here on 11/30 at 4:40PM needs to be sent a voucher. It is crazy what i experienced. group of 12-16 teenagers flashing their phone flashlights, stomping up and down the stairs, talking during the entirety of the movie, going in and out of the theatre every 15 minutes. such a horrific experience and I hope the manager of cineplex stoney creek makes...
Read moreTo Cineplex Management,
I am absolutely FURIOUS and disgusted by the treatment my family and I received at your Stoney Creek (Hamilton Mountain) location today. We came to enjoy a movie—something that should have been a pleasant experience—but instead, we were subjected to unacceptable harassment by your so-called "security guard," a bald-headed bully who clearly has no business interacting with paying customers, let alone children.
How DARE this power-tripping, unprofessional excuse of a security guard bark orders at my family, including my 8- and 9-year-old kids, as if we were criminals in some high-security prison? Who the hell does he think he is? Your own staff tried to assure him that we were in good standing, but this arrogant, abusive jerk couldn’t care less. He treated us—and other customers—like trash, creating a hostile, humiliating environment that completely ruined our evening.
This was NOT a security concern—this was pure intimidation and bullying. If this is how Cineplex allows its "security" to behave, then your company has a serious problem. We have NEVER experienced this kind of disgraceful treatment at any other Cineplex location, and I will NEVER return to this one unless you FIRE this incompetent, aggressive fool immediately.
I demand a detailed response from management within 48 hours, outlining exactly what disciplinary actions have been taken against this security guard. If I do not receive a satisfactory reply, I will escalate this matter legally—because no one has the right to treat my family, especially my young children, with such disrespect and hostility.
This was UNACCEPTABLE. Fix it. Now.
Awaiting your...
