Food was really good. Service could be better. It didn't seem very busy when we went but we were in the bar and the bartender took a very long time to come get our order. We were ready when she brought the drinks (she brought the wrong kids drinks but they drank it anyways), but she quickly rushed off saying she'd be right back to take our order even though we were ready. Twenty minutes later she wasn't back (I had little hungry children) and I asked the passing manager if we could order and she said one sec (after looking very annoyed we grabbed her attention) and told the server (Not very friendly at all, arent managers supposed to help busy servers?). Food came fast after ordering though and it was very good. The little bowl with parmesan, chilli flakes and chilli oil was a nice touch.
Then we went up to the front and thought we'd get gelato to take home. We were standing there for at least 15 minutes while the manager walked past us several times without making eye contact, we had no idea whose responsibility it was to dish out the Gelato and by the way the manager kept ignoring us, we assumed it was someone else's job, although again, strange that it wouldn't grab her attention. It wasn't very busy, no wait at the front so I'm not sure why the manager wasn't stopping. Then I asked a server close by and she was nice enough to apologize and said the manager is usually around the vicinity of the Gelato station and dishes it out. Ok so, its the manager's responsibilty. Even more weird then since she literraly wouldnt glance over to the station all the times she walked by ans we were the only ones standing there. The server dishes the gelato but needs the manager's help to charge us. The manager comes and makes no apologies for the fact that she had blatantly ignored us on several occasions, in fact, doesn't even make eye contact, not to mention seems like she's walking around the restaurant with a scawl on her face the whole time. Overall very Bizarre even though the food was good. This last thing wouldn't be in itself something to write about, but since I wrote the rest, why not? A girl was walking around with the fake votive candles to put into the little cups at the tables, walks up to our table and throws it in without even making eye contact, just walks up, turns it on, throws it in. The restaurant is so nice and actually a bit fancier than I imagined from the outside and all these little things just made for good food but a strange experience. I will also say that the gelato only being available to take home is a bit misleading as it's set up like an ice cream shop and seem like you could grab an ice cream and some spoons to walk out with while eating gelato. Not the case, after you grab a hold of someone, you're getting ice cream to take home. It's fine, but a bit misleading given the cute set up. I've worked on restaurants before and have friends who are GM's in a couple chain restaurants and I've never seen management run this poorly. It'd a bit embarrassing to feel like you're inconveniencing the people who work there. Food was good but im not sure its worth the...
Read moreA Symphony of Disappointment: Industria Pizza and Bar (Stoney Creek) only
Our family's longstanding patronage of Industria Pizza and Bar came crashing down during our recent visit, leaving us profoundly disheartened. Amidst the cacophony of shortcomings, the blaring music stands out as a notable detractor from what was once a cherished dining experience.
The decibel levels of the music were so deafeningly high that holding a conversation with a fellow diner became an exercise in futility. This persistent auditory assault made it nearly impossible to enjoy the company of those seated beside us, detracting significantly from the social aspect of dining out.
Compounding this auditory assault was the lack of clarity in the sound system, which rendered even the most familiar tunes indistinguishable amidst the muffled bass. This deficiency was particularly noticeable during peak hours when the restaurant was bustling with activity.
In addition to the auditory assault, the abysmal customer service attitude exhibited by the waiter tarnished what used to be a cherished dining destination. Over the span of three hours, the waiter displayed a shocking lack of concern for our satisfaction, evident from the moment I requested a simple Diet Coke. Despite multiple attempts to flag down assistance, our needs were consistently overlooked.
Adding insult to injury was the lackluster quality of the food. Our pizza arrived soggy and undercooked, indicative of a careless approach in the kitchen. To exacerbate matters, there was no follow-up to gauge our satisfaction or address our concerns.
The nadir of our experience occurred when, I was asked to clear half of our table settings. This intrusive request shattered any semblance of hospitality and left us feeling unwelcome.
As if to underscore our dissatisfaction, upon returning from accompanying my son to the restroom, I found our table cluttered with six take-out pizza boxes, occupying my seat. This egregious oversight epitomized the disregard for customer experience evident throughout our visit.
In the face of such overwhelming auditory chaos, our dissatisfaction with the overall experience was further amplified. The combination of indifferent service, subpar food quality, and an environment that inhibits meaningful interaction has led us to the regrettable decision to forego any future visits to Industria Pizza and Bar.
It's disheartening to witness the decline of what was once a beloved establishment, but until significant improvements are made, we cannot in good conscience recommend it to others seeking an enjoyable...
Read moreHeres my Review of Industria Pizzeria + Bar in Stoney Creek
I recently visited Industria Pizzeria + Bar in Stoney Creek for the second time. Here’s a detailed account of my experience:
Atmosphere and Staff: The atmosphere at Industria Pizzeria is fantastic, and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. The ambiance makes it a great place to dine in, with a modern and cozy interior that sets a pleasant tone for the evening.
My first visit was not as satisfactory as I had hoped. My girlfriend and I ordered our food, which arrived promptly. However, after finishing our meal, we were left waiting for what seemed like over 40 minutes for the server to check on us. This wait was particularly surprising given that there was only one other couple in the restaurant. It felt like we were forgotten.
When the waitress finally came to check on us, we decided to order dessert, which turned out to be a mistake. We waited another 20 minutes for the dessert to arrive. This delay was quite frustrating, especially since the restaurant was nearly empty. As soon as the dessert arrived, I asked for the bill to avoid further delays. The experience was disappointing, as the prolonged wait times overshadowed the otherwise decent meal.
On my second visit, the experience was somewhat improved. We were seated promptly, and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The pizza, although a bit soggy and greasy, still tasted alright. The grilled calamari was excellent, and the shrimp was decent. Overall, the food quality was good but not outstanding.
Value for Money: For a total bill of $115 for two people, which included a pizza, two small appetizers, and tax, I found the value lacking. While the food was good and the staff were nice, the overall experience did not meet my expectations given the price. For the service and the price tag, there are better dining options available.
Industria Pizzeria + Bar offers a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, but the service needs improvement, particularly in terms of attentiveness and speed. The food is decent, but considering the price, it falls short of providing a satisfactory dining experience. I might consider returning, but I believe there are other restaurants that offer better value for...
