Lakeside Park — Attraction in Hamilton

They took away the nice bench under the willow tree up near the skating rink area and playground.

There is a washout that hasn't been fixed for months at the far end of the path towards queen street. The orange cones have been there forever. It's not that hard to fix. They attempted to fix it already. It's a mess. See photo below.

And it's constantly muddy and flooded near the main access to lake ...so you have to walk and balance on logs and sticks to get to the lake..or get soaked and muddy. Why not build a bridge or a boardwalk. It's been like this for years and years with restricted muddy access to the main area of the lake. So annoying. Definitely needs some...

Beautiful hidden Gem in the heart of Kitchener. The multi use path is wide, shaded and in great shape. There are a few picnic tables along the route by the lake. Lots of ducks and geese though so use caution in the spring (we all know how the cobra chickens get around their young). There is a turtle Beach sanctuary, please respect it's purpose. It's not for humans. But a beautiful attempt to assist the turtles that live in the lake. The views are stunning, and it's a great place to walk/ride on your way to the downtown core or just to...

Probably very beautiful in the summer. There’s a few signs for turtles so maybe you can see them sometimes. Fairly large lake. We saw a blue jay when we went here. There are a lot of trees cut down as part of an environmental initiative. Around 4000 steps round trip on the path. On the way there is also a playground for kids with 4 large swings and 4 baby swings, a small slide, an ice rink area in the winter, and a few other playground items.
