Absolutely the Worst Subway Experience – Subway Needs to Rethink Who They're Giving Franchises To! Just visited a Subway location and I’ve never been more disappointed and insulted. My friend and I decided to order two footlongs through the app because there was an offer. We customized our subs with extra toppings—which is literally the point of being able to build your own sandwich at Subway. But the moment we got there, the owner (yes, the owner) was unbelievably rude. He flat out refused to add anything extra, saying “the grill isn’t working.” Excuse me? What does a grill not working have to do with cold toppings like lettuce, pickles, sauces, etc.? It made zero sense. On top of that, he kept repeating, “If you want, you can go somewhere else.” Imagine telling your customers that after they’ve already ordered and paid! We then asked for a fountain drink—the unlimited refill one. He told us he’d charge $1 extra per refill. I said fine, but then clarified and was told I’d be charged EVERY SINGLE TIME I refill. Again, he repeated, “If you don’t like it, go somewhere else.” At this point, I lost my temper and just walked out without buying anything. This is not how a Subway is supposed to operate. The franchise owner has no respect, no customer service skills, and quite frankly, no business being in the food industry. If Subway wants to protect its reputation, they seriously need to stop handing out franchises to just anyone. This kind of behavior reflects directly on your brand, and it’s shameful. Avoid this location at all costs—and Subway, do better.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I purchased 3 subs, using a coupon to buy one, get a second of equal or lesser value for 0.99c, along with a drink. Two of the subs were 10.49, and the third sub was 7.99. I specifically requested to have the 0.99c sub be the second chicken bacon ranch sub(10.49), and not the turkey(7.99). In addition, I wanted the smallest 16oz drink (1.99) instead of the 24oz(2.39). Not only did the employee specifically ignore my request, charging me me for the 32oz drink, 2*10.49 subs, he refused to change the order afterwards, claiming that I did my math wrong, and that the pricing for all drinks was the same price - meaning I was charged for a 32oz drink even though I got a 16oz drink, he also refused to give me an itemized receipt when I called him out. While I'm not going to lose sleep over $2.90 + tax, the fact that the individual lied to my face about it showing that this wasn't just an honest mistake made me post this review. I'm pretty sure that the person who served me was the owner as I doubt any employee would refuse to correct a pricing mistake if a customer asked them about it to their face. Proof is attached receipt just showing the total, as I needed to pay with credit in addition to my $25 gift card due to the extra cost. (total is $27.53 = 1.13*(10.49*2+0.99+2.39) instead of $24.25 = 1.13*(10.49+0.99+7.99+1.99)) TLDR: Owner overcharged me $2.90 pre-tax, when confronted, lied to me and refused to provide an itemized receipt. Avoid this location if at all possible.

I urge everyone to think twice before visiting this Subway location. Customers deserve respect and fair treatment, not hostility and discrimination. Let’s show him that customers won't tolerate this kind of behavior.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this Subway location. I ordered through the Subway mobile app, taking advantage of a BOGO offer on footlongs. When I arrived, the owner saw my order and immediately started yelling at me in a loud and disrespectful manner. He rudely told me I would have to wait 30 minutes or he would cancel my order. It was clear he did not want to honor the BOGO deal. To make matters worse, his behavior was blatantly racist, making comments that were completely unacceptable. He even said, “We don’t need this type of order,” as if I was doing something wrong by using a valid promotion. This kind of treatment is beyond unprofessional. Ordered Subs for me and my kids,my son ordered what he wanted and I ordered meatball sub. The man working behind the counter was preparing my meatball sub and say what would you like on it,I tell him I would like everything except hot peppers and olives,he says to me oh everything isn't included you can only have 3 items! I get the 3 items than I pay for the 4 subs and as we were preparing to leave my Son says did you get napkins mom? The man behind the counter turns to my son and says you have napkins at home don't you?Well after paying $45.00 you would think that you would get napkins with your subs and have what you want on your subs ,not just 3 items and have to pay extra if I wanted more. Well after that horrible service my son and i walk out and get in the car and drive home.. We get in the house my son notices on the receipt the the man billed me for a sub combo after i told him 4 or 5 times that i did not want cookies and pop with my sub!! My son got on the phone to call the head office but finds our that you cannot call the head office because they don't give you that option and you can only send message by email. Well my soon puts in the complaint and tells them that somebody better get back to him ASAP or we would have the man at the store charged with theft as he charged me for something I told him 4 or 5 times I didn't want!!! Well my son gets a phone call about 45 minutes to an hour later and low and behold it was that man from that same store that we were putting the complaint in about. That was Thursday dec 20 2023 and when my son realized it was that same man he hung up and put in the complaint for the second time but nobody has returned our call! This was the worst service I've ever experience at a subway and now because of this I will never return to subway ever again! I also have to wonder how many other customers has this worker done this to??? This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced at subway and I will never return, I will ordered subs from another place that sell subs perhaps Mr submarine. I don't recommend this store if you want subs it's very poor service and you won't get napkins with your subs!!!...

Very disappointing experience today.

As a delivery driver, I drove 8 km through traffic — it took me about 20 minutes — to pick up an order from your store. I parked directly in front of the entrance and went inside to collect the food. When I got there, the staff member at the counter she refused to hand over the order unless I brought in a delivery bag.

I explained that my bag was in the car — just a few steps outside — and reminded her that it was 25°C outside. The order had already been sitting on the counter for several minutes, not even inside a bag. There was no risk of the food getting cold.

She then said, “Okay, then go bring your bag so you can carry it.” Seriously? Do you really think I can’t carry a single sandwich and a bag of chips five steps to my car without a delivery bag? That’s just unreasonable.

As a result, I had to cancel the order out of frustration. Now what happens? The order gets reassigned to another driver, who will also have to drive 10–15 minutes to reach the store. The entire process starts over from scratch — the wait time increases, the customer gets their food even later, and the freshness suffers. It’s a lose-lose for everyone.

This kind of unnecessary rigidity and lack of flexibility just disrupts the delivery process. I strongly suggest providing some additional training to the staff at this location so they can better understand the realities of delivery work and apply a bit more common sense when handling situations like this.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an unpleasant experience I had at your restaurant today in the morning between 9:45 am and 10:00 am. During my visit, I encountered extremely rude behaviour from a member of your staff which significantly impacted my take out experience. The lady in the counter was so rude and don’t know the basic etiquette of customer service.When i just asked her as a basic manners whether the shop is open or not, she was telling just check the sign board in a very sarcastic way. I am a hotel manager and i never speak to my guest like that. She doesn’t know how to take an order properly. I order tandoori twist and she made tandoori mozza , that is completely fine everyone make mistakes and i am not complaining about that. She was arguing with me that for a while and thats what made me dissatisfied. If she was at least nice to me i wont even ask her to make my order again, she was trying to prove i ordered tandoori mozza before honouring the mistake. I came to dining in your restaurant and this experience made me to do my order as take out. I don’t want to sit in this type of toxic environment to have breakfast with my wife.Unfortunately, the conduct of your staff fell well short of these expectations. I hope you will take this complaint seriously and look into the matter. I would appreciate it if appropriate action is taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again, and that all patrons feel welcomed and respected in your establishment.
