It's a cute small museum that shares the history of Ladysmith, its events, timeline and who the place was even named after. There's a staff there who greets everyone visiting and offers a mini-tour before leaving us to explore ourselves. When we visited there was a mini part gallery upstairs on the second floor too! There's also a small gift shop, and lots of interactive content amongst the displays and artifacts. We enjoyed a good 10-20 minutes of exploring and got some souvenirs.
