We ordered paneer pakora, I can't even begin to explain how those made me feel. They were beyond amazing! So soft and springy but also the perfect crunch, combined with the tangy dip. Yummy!!!! My partner ordered medium lamb curry with rice and garlic naan. 10/10!! Absolutely top tier lamb curry.

I ordered mild beef biryani and when I got the dish, I had 2 bites and realized it was maybe the wrong dish to order as it was so hot. I never complain, it's just not something I do. So I ate more cheese and had 2 more tiny bites and played with my plate before asking to pack it up. At the end, I thought id ask about the heat level so I don't order another dish I will end up giving to my partner(haha). I asked the waiter *in full anxiety because I hate asking "is this as mild as this dish comes? Just so I know for next time." The waiter immediately realized there was a miscommunication with ordering and I was given a medium heat dish. I would NEVER in a million years ask for another plate of food, but the waiter- without hesitation, offered to get me a new plate made up and asked if I would like to take the medium heat one home for my partner to enjoy. I got my new plate and it was literally twice the size of the first plate and it was absolutely delicious and even with a belly full of cheese I was able to eat almost half the plate. Very scrumptious and reasonably priced Indian food. The service was very nice. We ordered online and were called up immediately to clarify a discrepancy. The food was zesty and sharp; no bland flavours here. We got the butter chicken, fish pakora’s and lamb jalfrezi. Every dish had a uniquely nuanced after flavour. The butter chicken was smooth yet had a sweet tangy after taste. The lamb jalfrezi, I ordered hot and it came out just the way I like it: strong, distinct, and perfectly tender. The fish pakora’s were light and fluffy with a distinct herb after taste. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the herb but overall they were quite unlike any other fish pakoras I’ve had in Nanaimo. Finally got around to trying Indian Palate for the first time and was not disappointed!

They're in a nice, convenient location in Terminal Park Mall, the route #1 bus goes there in both directions. I only live a few stops away, so by the time I got off the bus and got home, my food was still piping hot.

Inside of the restaurant was clean and tidy and my food was prepared quickly. I could hear the tandoor being fired up to make food in the back and loved that.

I ordered the veggie mango curry with rice on the side as well as an order of garlic and basil naan. I asked for the mango curry to be mild and here, mild means MILD! My spice wimp self is loving this food, no burn at all but still full of flavor. The naan is HUGE!
