Kaede Sushi & Grill – A Hidden Gem in Ladysmith
Kaede Sushi & Grill is a fantastic spot for sushi lovers in Ladysmith, delivering fresh, high-quality Japanese cuisine in a cozy and welcoming setting. The service is warm and attentive, making it a great place for both casual dining and special occasions.
One of the highlights of my visit was their deep-fried sushi rolls, which were absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside with a perfect balance of textures, each bite was flavorful without being overly greasy. The tempura batter was light, allowing the fresh ingredients inside to shine. Beyond the sushi, the ingredients are noticeably fresh, and the presentation is beautiful. The flavors are well-balanced, and you can tell the chefs take pride in their craft. Whether you’re looking for classic nigiri, sashimi, or something unique, Kaede delivers.
The only downside is that they can get quite busy during peak hours, so I’d recommend making a reservation or arriving early. Overall, Kaede Sushi & Grill is a must-visit if you’re in Ladysmith and craving top-notch sushi—especially if you love deep-fried...

The food was terrific and we know why we came here the first time. The seafood tasted fresh and had that perfect melt in your mouth sensation you expect of a quality sushi establishment.
The dining room is very modest and isn’t too flashy but we came for the food. We will...

And the honeymoon roll with tempura yam inside and mango & avocado on top was nice! It was a bit quiet with not much background music for atmosphere which was a little disconcerting being the only ones there at the time but this may not have been their usual...
