Fleming Memorial Arena — Attraction in Lincoln

Came to walk the track since there is a thunderstorm underway. Hockey rink is in use and there are at least 3 people working in the building. Was told I could not walk the track as it closed at 9pm. Why??? What possible reason could there be for me not to be able to walk on the track in a building full of people. It's fine to be on the ice, in the lobby, changerooms, washrooms, etc. Many people are not able to exercise until later because of kids etc., I guess I should have taken up hockey in order to avoid running in the rain. ...

I love the people that work at the arena! I walk the track a lot, and every morning I am greeted with the always smiling face of Mitch. What a kind person!! I am always one of the first people here in the morning and even though the sun isn’t up yet Mitch is always HAPPY and welcoming to everyone as he opens the doors to let us in. Also... when I walk here in the summer the skate park and recreation program is two thumbs up! My son loves playing basketball and riding his scooter...
