Visited the store after they move from the First Markham place area, now it's pretty much in the plaza across from Markville shopping mall facing Highway 7. There's a lot more parking space through the plaza can get busy. Anything was better than the old first Markham Place store where they had two spots and then they blocked those off. So the new place is wider inside and they sell a bit more food but those food items seems to be stuff that was previously bulk package and they just stuck their own tag on it after taking it out of the bulk package and repackaging it.

The stuff that they do make which is most of the steam dim sum, remains good and fair valued. Dim sum remains a lot of work so it is not a cheap meal anymore that's for sure but it's still fair value compared to a restaurant. More importantly, it still tastes good, I would say like a medium tiered restaurant. The place is still cash for a debit card only. I put in some more new photos but I wish they had opened the store at Bayview a Major McKenzie like they said they would because this is a bit of a drive for anybody who is in Richmond Hill , Thornhill area. 👇👇Old review below👇 👇 First time visit due to various web hype. The taste was authentic and true to the regular restaurant stuff. The cost is a little bit less then a restaurant but you may get more pieces then a restaurant. For all the stuff I got in these photos was about 50 bucks. You basically have to learn to group steam them so that they all finish around the same time. The only other thing is that they have only one type of the rice noodles (chung fun, BBQ pork) and it's not good value at 3 noodles for $ 6.00. There is no parking at front of the stores because everybody has a reserved spot for the other stores. Basically you have to park there , going in quick, grab your stuff so you don't get towed or tagged.

Edit: I've come back about 8 times since. Everything remains the same and don't expect to...

Love dim sum? You can buy them frozen at this location (raw). Their factory is in Scarborough. Steam it or boil it in the comfort of one’s own home any time of the day and night. Store it in your freezer and cook it without defrosting.

The cooking instructions are printed right on the package and easy to follow. There is no expiry date on them, so consume within reasonable time after purchase.

Fu Kee Bao Dim is located right across from Markville Mall (Walmart side). It is conveniently located right on highway 7 with ample parking space, not like their other store in Scarborough.

Be careful when you enter the store because you can’t see if there are any people coming out. The entrance door and store windows are fully covered with a printed graphic mural.

The disabled wheelchair access button does not work. Not to worry because there is a stream of customers coming in and out that can help open the door for you. Of course, it depends which day and time you choose to come. Bonus: They still have a disinfectant bottle right at the door for your convenience.

They have a huge selection of dishes that you can and cannot buy from any restaurant. Have you heard of beef or chicken Siu Mai? Usually it’s pork Siu Mai right? Well, they sell them here and they are delicious.

They take cash or debit with a minimum purchase of either $20 or $25, so bring in your pocket change.

Larger size packages of dim sum (wontons) are located in the middle of store. They do carry the same merchandise as they sell in their Scarborough location.

For those who live in Scarborough, there is another store nearby at Kennedy and Finch. I gave the extra star for parking. But this location is not accessible by the TTC. As this area runs on a different transit system.

No washroom facilities onsite. It’s just a grab and go...

Surprisingly good quality and easy to prepare dim sum and many other food items! Enjoy dim sum anytime anywhere with a steamer mostly in about twenty minutes or even in about ten minutes. The best thing is that all these dim sum and food items are kept in freezer but mostly there is no need to thaw. One simple way to steam these dim sum and food items is to use a simple rice cooker that comes with a steamer basket. Don't forget to get the steamer paper from the store or otherwise easily from many other places. Very simple, straight forward, and easy to follow instructions! Large varieties and many to choose options. Shrimp dumplings, pork and shrimp dumplings, beef dumplings, BBQ pork buns, and chicken feet, just to name several. The prices are reasonable and compatible with those at other stores and supermarkets. Other food items are also very easy to prepare. Mostly just steam for twenty or thirty minutes! Enjoy an authentic Chinese dinner even if you are not a chef nor even a good cook. Minced Pork & Salted Vegetable, Baby Cuttlefish With Curry sauce, and Curry Beef Brisket, just to name a few. For anyone with a busy schedule, these food items save you not only time but also money. Anyone will enjoy the food items alone, with your friends or family and have a wonderful Chinese...

Is this supposed to be Ma Tai Go? The texture was completely off . It was watery and never set into a proper jelly. It’s clear that the ratio of Ma Tai flour to water was incorrect. In addition, it was far too sweet to be enjoyable. I would appreciate a refund. As for the positive reviews, I honestly don’t understand them. I believe people should try more authentic versions of these dishes elsewhere. The Lo Bak Go was also disappointing. There was too much flour, and almost no Lo Bak flavor. The sticky rice shumai and the Malay sponge cake were equally unsatisfactory. Overall, this experience was quite poor, and I won’t return again.
