Today I made my second trip to Toyratt in Milton. I was initially dragged there this summer by my husband to check out all the "cool toys and games". My expectations were pretty low because I outgrew toys and games in, like, 1984. While he loaded up on super Nintendo games (he promptly disappeared to the basement when we got home and didn't surface for a week), I enjoyed browsing the vinyl and picked up a few albums from my youth (AC/DC and Dire Straits). Today I popped in to see if there was anything new in vinyl and they had exactly what I was looking for but unfortunately at the wrong price and in the wrong condition. Well let me tell you, Ivano WILL NOT have a dissatisfied customer! This guy is super friendly, knows his stuff and you can tell he genuinely wants to make customers happy. He makes sure he is offering good quality products at fair prices. He located a newer, better version of the album I was looking for and adjusted the price. Then as we talked more, reminded me of another addition I should make to my collection (which I purchased of course!). Many thanks for helping us complete our music wall (see pic) It doesn't matter who you are, there will be something here that will take you back. I came for the vinyl but flashed back when I spied a Commodore 64, CHUDD on VHS and some nice old Star Wars figures. Read moreEDITED: changed to 1 star, forgot to long ago in fear. Talked to other women/girls and they had the same experience. Owner had asked to see my phone, seemingly under the guise of checking out the model. Ended up going into my pictures, scrolling through them, opening up and looking clearly private and inappropriate pictures of mine that you could've easily told from the thumbnail. He knew what he was opening.
Like I said, this has happened to other young girls and young women I have spoken to. Makes us uncomfortable and not going back.
Also made us feel pressured to give 5 stars

Customer service is amazing, always here tentitave and waiting, patient with my needs and always answering questions. will look into any questions about systems and comparability. went room to room searching and making sure he did or didn't have what i was looking for. sat and researched technical aspects and compatibility with me. let me demo products i was interested. A friendly negotiator and a friendly guy!
Came in on a snow day and he was open, opened the door for me with a smile on his face and immediately asked if i needed anything. Very charismatic and a great store owner. Carries just about anything you could ask for and will call if he gets something in i am looking for specifically if he doesn't have it in stock.
Definitely will be coming back again, way better than any buy and sell store or pawn...
Read moreWhat an amazing place! After reading the stellar reviews, my expectations were high but they didn’t entirely prepare me for the inventory that he carries. There were so many different games for every game system that you could imagine.
I spent so much time combing through the games, before I even made my way to the records. I went for the video games, but ended up spending more money on vinyl. I tracked down a couple of albums that were in superb condition and were first presses, and had an amazing conversation with the owner about jazz.
He was an absolute pleasure to talk to and let me go through a collection of jazz albums that he recently acquired, before they were even priced and put on the floor.
I will be returning in a couple of weeks to go through some of the G.I. Joe figures that are going to be put on pegs in his store.
One final note. When I got home, I realized that the PlayStation 2 game that I had bought did not work on my PlayStation 3. I called him up, and he said it wasn’t a problem at all to return it and then I could bring it by even though I wasn’t sure where the receipt was. He remembered the transaction and assured me there would be no trouble and exchanging it or getting a refund.
