Delicious lunch special - haddock. Battered fresh right in front of you. Fries freshly cut, thicker English chippie style, fried fresh per order right in front of you as well. Put in takeout box fresh out of the fryer. No waiting under heat lamps..there are none. Arrives blistering hot.

As can be seen in the photos, the batter is extraordinarily crispy and just shatters when bite into. Light flaky white fish. No fry oil taste. Premium vegetable oil is used and on display in crates. Paper takeout box had just a few spots of oil in it.

Coleslaw flavourful. Appreciate tartar sauce and malt vinegar.

Premises exceptionally clean. Appreciate having a chair for seniors to sit down on, although the wait is only the time it takes to cook your food fresh.

Extremely reasonable prices. Friendly, efficient service.

Milton’s little gem, as the restaurant is just off of Main Street on Wilson Street.

Will return for a halibut dinner...

A cozy little restaurant, a nice place to go when you're waiting for an oil change or your tires to be changed around the corner. You can't beat a 7-dollar halibut and chips lunch special and it's not like I'm expecting Bruce from Jaws as a fish portion with declining fish stocks in the North Atlantic but to throw in a few more french fries to bulk up the meal wouldn't be a bad idea either. (Are potatoes drastically expensive in Milton, or what?) The Cole slaw, not included in the lunch special and not expecting it to be, wasn't very tasty nor did it break the bank in cost. Dude, head down the street to Golden Fish And Chips for lessons in French Fry portions and in making a zesty Cole slaw. All in all, certainly not a bad dine and I would head back should I be temporarily in the vicinity without access to a car. The owner is a friendly congenial fellow and deserves a little more business with such a...

I recently visited Milton's Fish and Chips and had mixed feelings about my experience. The food was delicious - the fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were cooked to perfection. However, I found it overly salty, which was a disappointment.

The wait time was also significantly longer than expected, taking over 30 minutes.

Additionally, the shop's layout left much to be desired. There's no seating area to enjoy your meal, and no washroom facilities available. This made the waiting experience feel even longer and more tedious.

Overall, while the food quality is good, the excessive salt, wait time, and lack of amenities deduct from the overall experience.

Recommendation: Consider ordering ahead or taking your food to go. Hopefully, the shop will address these issues and balance their seasoning...

I absolutely loved the food at this fish and chip shop! The taste was out of this world, a solid five stars. The fish was perfectly crispy, and the chips were mouthwatering. The onion rings were spectacular. However, I have to admit that the ambiance of the shop left something to be desired. It's a bit grimy and dated, but honestly, the incredible flavors of the food more than make up for it. A total colesterol festival. If you're in it for the taste, this place is a must-visit!

Slightly a bit more than I pay in old Toronto BUT I can see why. I ordered Halibut which naturally tends to cost more, portion was large and worth the price, (picture doesn’t do it justice for how deep the portion is). No fishy taste, thick dense piece of halibut. Batter recipe was great, thin overall with more fish than batter, with a section of crunch. Fries were freshly made, unsalted so make sure to ask for salt if you aren’t a vinegar and chips person. Would visit again.
