Never had a problem with parking. Thinking ahead, we brought our heavy duty wagon along for ease in carrying our many supplies. We brought our own snacks and many different drinks (no alcohol allowed which was fine with our entourage). Tickets were bought ahead online which helped us to avoid on site lineups for those paying at the gates. Had no problems with any of the many water sites. My lovely wife, Pat and I enjoyed four trips down the "Lazy River". Never much of a lineup, especially closer to the closing time of 7pm. Wave pool was exciting. They have an alarm system which lets every user know when to expect the giant waves to start before the pool rests once again. Everyone had a fantastic time. Rain was forecast but fate was kind and we saw no rain from when we entered around 1pm until Splash Zone's closing at 7pm. Well worth the visit. We could see what appeared to be rain clouds off in the distance up beyond the hillside where a local winery peers down upon this fantastic park. All attendees were extremely outgoing and professional. All areas were clean at the beginning of the day. We could see the cleanup process begining, once again, as we were leaving upon closing time. During our stay it was refreshing to see life guards at every water playsite. It was smart that we brought our own sun umbrella since every on site umbrella had been taken. Worth thinking about for protection from the sun's hot and burning rays. It was entertaining seeing the many critters coming out as most all people had left. A few seagulls, black birds and a squirrel could be seen pecking at various morsels of food.

I've been here many times as a child but this is my first time going with a child. I'd rank it somewhere between a 3 and a 4. Some of these are our fault for not doing more research. Hopefully this will save some others from making the same mistakes we did. Things we wish we knew before hand: The park WILL sell out on busy days. We learned this at 8am, morning of. The 10am "time" was sold out, so we had to settle for 12pm. We bought the 12pm slot at 8am, which was the right call because by 12pm, it was sold out for the day. Single tubes are available by standing in line for a tube ride (lazy river or tornado). Double tubes are NOT available unless by rental. By 12pm, guess what...THEY'RE ALL SOLD OUT. You have to keep checking back periodically and hoping someone returned one. We finally got one at 3pm. $3 per hour, $15 max for the day. The lines are pretty long but move fairly quick. There are lots of slides and options. The food prices, in my opinion, were reasonable. We went to the Cafe on the side of the steamboat. Poutine, cheeseburger platter, nugget platter = $45 after tip. MY SUGGESTION: 1) BOOK TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME ONLINE FOR 10AM 2) GET DIRECTLY IN LINE FOR A DOUBLE TUBE WHILE 3) SOMEONE ELSE IN YOUR GROUP SECURES YOUR LAWN CHAIRS I hope this helps!!!

Last time I went six years ago, best day ever. Yesterday, worst day ever. Don't prepay for your tickets, no need. Bring your own drinks, and it's run by kids. I didn't see anyone over 24 the whole time. (And yes I asked)

My friend works in a group home, she was off at noon so we thought yesterday would be a great day to go!! They always say buy your tickets before you go to make sure you get in. So, I did. There was an emergency at her work so she didn't get off until 2. We left nova scotia then. Getting there at 430 already stressed, if we didn't prepay for the tickets we would of just went another day.. anyway, get there at 4:35 no one in any booth. We look everywhere, then go in the gift shop which also sells tickets, this one young girl looking so scared. It was so packed you couldn't even move in there. She called her manager three times for help before someone came. Time is now 5:05, all I needed were my tickets to be scanned. We get ready, go and rent a double tube. Used it once, and I was so hot I put it on my chair with my stuff, yeah bad idea, but I could see it!!!! Get in line for my slushie, saw it. Went to pay for the slushie, as I ordered it and paid for it looking at the girl, I turned back and it was gone!I went back to the booth which again was a young girl and boy and told them what happened and they said oh that's why it's 15 for people like you! I said what? I'm sorry but i went to get a slushie and didn't think. They said I remember you, you just got it, but your number of your tube is 486, you can go fight for it if you see i and laughed. I get I didn't return it, but it was 5:45 at the time, a hour left at the park. Couldn't you just charge for that if it's 3 dollars hour? Last but not least I went to get a gatorade in the machine, nothing worked. I finally found another really young boy and asked if the machines were broken and he laughed and said, yeah I heard that! Went to every store, all sold out. The stores I get, but your employees should know something about their job. It seems like it's all high school kids there who really don't care about anyone but themselves. Wasted...

Magic Mountain - A place of magic during childhood, a place of disappointment in adulthood.

As a born and bred Monctonian, MM is a provincial staple. It is the only waterpark in the entire province, and is a huge tourist destination that attracts people from all over. I have spent countless hours here during childhood, and had the time of my life.

20 years later though, the experience is a little different. MM has 9 water slides, plus 2 more in the kiddie pool area. The main draw is the kamikaze, with it's intimidating height.

The bad; -Extremely high entry price. -Minimal amount of investment put into the water park in the last 10 years. The place feels run down. The slides are sun faded. The green material where the chairs are is worn and gross. -Extremely coarse cement walkway that is brutal on the feet. -Prohibitively expensive food and drinks. -The only public water fountain available was gushing yellow liquid from it's spout, making it disgusting and unusable. -Mediocre waterslides with long wait times. -No new slides in 10+ years despite having the real estate to do so. -Extremely crowded with long lines. -The slides are built on a slope, with a brutal cement walkway. While waiting, you are left to roast in the sun, on an incline, making it an extremely unpleasant experience. -Payment required to rent double tubes. -Bathroom was absolutely disgusting.

The good -Ample amounts of parking -Other types of attractions on the same property including an arcade, mini golf and carnival rides.

MM needs a complete overhaul on their infrastructure, namely from the food and lavatory perspective. By mid day, the male bathroom was absolutely drenched in water and urine and was emanating a nauseating odor. To think that food is served from this same tiny building is beyond abhorrent. The food, was basically all frozen, reheated food which they charged an exorbitant premium on.

At the end of the day, MM might be a good place for a small family who has never been to aquatic parks in other provinces, but for someone who has visited a few in QC, MM is mediocre attempt at a waterpark, and charges an exorbitant...

Terrible customer service at the ticket booth. I went online to purchase my tickets ahead of time. Saw that there were prices for 38-48" and 48" and above. Measured my daughter before we left and we was 46.5". Bought the appropriate ticket and arrived this morning. The employee scanned my wife and I's ticket but then told my daughter to stand under this homemade measuring contraption made of square tube and nuts and bolts. My daughter was just under the required height by maybe a 1/4 inch. But they read it as her being over 48" and asked me to pay for higher price. I said she's wearing crocs, she won't be in the park. They said they need to measure her in shoes in case we had a ticket for the fun zone, which we didn't. I asked to speak to a supervisor as I knew 100% she was under 48". Supervisor came and said the same thing. I asked them for a tape measure and someone else, maybe a manager, came out with it. They measures her with the tape measure and she was 47" with her shoes on. I asked for them to please honour my ticket and the manager person instructed the supervisor to scan my daughters ticket as is. The supervisor was visually upset by her being overruled and begrudgingly scanned our ticket. Not a great start to our day. I recommend you reach out to Measurement Canada and have them calibrate your measuring posts, or buy something not homemade. Also, figure out if you're measuring with shoes on or off and put it on your website.

The other thing that was annoying was my daughter was asked by a lifeguard 4 or 5 times to see if the PFD we brought in was approved by Transport Canada. I understand the requirement, but maybe check at the front once and that's all. You already check coolers for booze and drugs, just check the PFDs as well. You can even put a bracelet or tag on the PFD showing it was checked. No one is smuggling illegal PFDs into Magic Mountain when you provide them for free.

Aside from this, we had a good day. The lifeguards were friendly and helpful, food was not the best, but you could bring your own into the park. Park is dated though. 20 minute wait for a waterside...
