My son loved it! The Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw is a fascinating and educational attraction that offers visitors a glimpse into the history and culture of the Canadian prairies. It's a place where the past comes alive, and you can explore the heritage of the region through engaging exhibits and interactive displays.

One of the standout features of the museum is its commitment to preserving and showcasing the history of Saskatchewan and the prairies. The exhibits cover a wide range of topics, from the early days of settlement and agriculture to the development of transportation and industry. The attention to detail and authenticity in these displays make them both informative and visually captivating.

The museum's interactive elements are a hit with visitors of all ages. From hands-on activities to immersive experiences, there's something to engage everyone's curiosity. Whether you're learning about the challenges of early prairie life or exploring vintage vehicles and machinery, the museum brings history to life in an accessible and enjoyable way.

The staff at the Western Development Museum are knowledgeable and passionate about the region's history. They are readily available to answer questions and provide insights, enhancing the overall visitor experience.

The museum's commitment to community involvement and educational programs is commendable. It often hosts events, workshops, and activities that encourage learning and engagement for all ages.

The Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts, families, and anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the prairies' rich and diverse heritage. It's a place where history is not just preserved but celebrated, making it a memorable and enlightening experience for...

The best museum I have been to, WDM or otherwise. This beats the gangster museum in Las Vegas and the Clark County Museum as seen on Pawn Stars on TV.

The vast array of artifacts is amazing (my favourite: the vintage bike room). They are also well-maintained.

But what sets this museum apart is the curation. There are entire mini-villages set up. You can see right into a passenger train, complete with spittoon and hat box. You can tour a training base -- one of 20 in Saskatchewan which trained 33,000 aviation professionals for the British Commonwealth. You can see all stages of railway construction, right from bare prairie to grading gravel to entire towns popping up. They even built the bow of a ship, complete with anchor. Even in the middle of COVID, this was an amazing visit.

Lastly, the service we received was amazing. Denise and Jan were so welcoming. James the janitor was so polite and gave us little hints about the exhibits, such as pressing the button to make the trains go.

FIVE GOLD STARS! I'M A...

I've been to a lot of museums all over the globe, but as a Prairie far boy, these ones will always be my favorite.

And as collections of old Canadian built extinct cars goes, this is where you wanna go! When you look at them you see the superior quality with which canadian autos,( and snowmobiles amd aircraft) were built with compared to the American stuff.

Ive been going to this one for 21+ years. Always The staff are super friendly. It's super clean, and it's more than worth the money.

It's perhaps not as flashy or attempting to be trendy, to stay alive like most museums in the western world now'n' days, but it doesnt have to be. This museum, like it's contents, is a Timeless classic amd cery valuable to preserving out canadian and human history

Also, as gift shops go, this one is priced way...
