We recently stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Moose Jaw for a powerlifting competition and this was one of the choice hotels given.
We were pleasantly surprised by the Comfort Inn & Suites. Room pricing was incredibly reasonable, especially when compared to cities and some Alberta (where we are from) small towns. Rooms were quite large. Our room had a decent size sink, a microwave and ad fridge. All of which was very handy. There was also the typical complimentary coffee and tea in the room but also in the lobby. Complimentary breakfast was available from 6-9am. I haven't come across very many hotels that still do that.... and especially without an additional fee. They still do daily room service. Lots of hotels don't do daily service anymore so I was also surprised by this. Location was really convenient to everywhere we needed to go. There is a Boston Pizza and several fast food restaurants just next store or down the road, the convention centre is close and so is a superstore. Front desk staff was very friendly and, despite the large influx of competitors, they were very pleased to have all of us staying with them.
I think my only issue was the parking lot seems a bit small so if we got back to inn later in the evening it was difficult to find a spot. I'm not sure if there was an alternate parking lot we didn't know about though but the front main one is a bit small, especially with piles of snow from winter removal.
I would opt to stay here again if I ever need to visit Moose Jaw...
Read moreOur stay was remarkable. We typically stay at Marriott or Hilton hotels, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing our room was here. We stayed in #334 and it was so quiet and spacious. I loved that it had a little kitchen area in it even (microwave/fridge/single coffee maker and little sink) which was handy. Our bed was SUPER comfortable and I loved the sheets. The manager Hanelie was so friendly and accommodating and did everything to ensure our production crew and cast were well looked after while in town shooting a film. Robin and Karlie at the front desk were SUPER friendly and made us feel like they were happy to have us and always greeted us with a smile or said hello. The complimentary breakfast had actual protein items on it which is rare these days, so that was appreciated. Evelyn who was taking care of that area kept it spotless! A true challenge as most are a hot mess. She had it super clean and always well stocked. Just so rare to have this level of customer service anymore it seems. The hotel was spotless everywhere, which means a ton to me too. The housekeeping team, does an amazing job! I don't want to go barefoot on dirty carpets or use nasty towels. Our room was spotless. Next trip to Moose Jaw, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Really great stay and incredible team. You wont be disappointed if you choose this over other hotels...
Read moreUpon our first morning, at breakfast, the hot food came in stages. We waited for eggs, only one person at our table of 3 got the small amount of remaining amount of cold eggs that were in the hot pans, then we waited for sausage, had to wait for more bread options. Waiting was more than 5 minutes. Pancake machine was not in the best working order, not sure if a refill was needed. The toaster was not working very well, took forever to toast, ended up eating untoasted english muffins. When it did finally toast the bread, it did burn one side of the toast and only slightly brown on the other side. Ran out of hard boiled eggs. The lady working on the floor was extremely busy and could have used help, poor girl was run off her feet. Could use labels on where real cream is, which was not by the coffee. Not sure if it was a cider for a juice, many people commented on that on nearby tables. Lineup at the toaster. I went early but left as it was very busy and returned 2 x after and still the same. Your coffee was excellent though. Lemon infused water jug in entry was empty for the 2 x I went to get some. Nice quiet location, everything else was fine. Check in and out was very simple and efficient. The 2nd morning breakfast was perfect, enough food. Not certain why our first morning was...
