Our own modern 800-seat live performance theater, right here in Nanaimo. Acts such as Swan Lake by the Moscow Ballet, musical acts and live theatre have all performed here, and many return year after year. The resident Vancouver Island Symphony always has a rich seasonal program. This is still a theater that cares about community, making time available for local schools to put on showcases and recitals. A variety of accessible seating options on multiple levels. Parking is easy underground, and plenty of excellent dining options available within walking distance. Self-serve filtered water available if you bring back your Port Theatre water bottle! After the performance, take a romantic stroll along the marina across from the water. A well-managed venue that offers access to world-class entertainment for all...

The men's room is always clean, I can't speak to the ladies facilities but assume that they're kept pristine as well. My only complaint would be about parking. There's a parkade adjacent that is run by Robbins (if memory serves) and is a bit pricey and the machine is incredibly slow which results in a lineup of patrons waiting to pay. I've seen a dozen or more shows in here and haven't had a bad...
