Imagine Cinemas Alliston — Attraction in New Tecumseth

If I could give this location zero stars, instead of the one I am giving, I would. We had a terrible experience at this location on Saturday, May 3rd, due to the lack of professionalism of the manager.

We arrived early at 8:55pm on Saturday evening for the 9:35pm showing, due to the fact that the last time we were here (a few weeks ago), we arrived early and waited 25+ mins in line at the concession and missed the start of the movie. For that reason, we decided to come 40 mins early, that way if it was busy we could get our food/drinks and get comfortable before the movie started.

On this particular visit, we arrived, printed our purchased tickets at the computer, and at this point no staff member was around checking our tickets; therefore, we proceeded to the concession stand right away (which the manager was working at a till at the time).

After we got our food and drinks, we we entered the theatre (the doors were open and there was another guest seated). A few minutes after getting into the theatre the manager came in for her first time. She entered and spoke with the gentleman accusing him that she had seen him at an earlier show and that he did not have tickets for the 9:35pm show. He provided his purchased ticket to her. After this, we got asked to leave theatre, by said manager, as we assumed for a sweeping and clean of the theatre, even though it appeared clean.

A few minutes later, still standing outside the theatre, another member of the staff, then informed that the theatre had already been cleaned and asked politely to see our purchased tickets. We showed her both tickets, and waited to go back into the theatre. The manager then entered the theatre again and accused us that she seen us at the 7:30pm showing of the same movie during the previous showings trailers, which she did to the other guest 10 mins prior. She did this in front of a crowd of people, which was also greatly unprofessional. As stated before, we informed her that we had only entered the movie theatre at 5 to 9pm, and we were simply not at the theatre at 7:30pm.

This woman was rude and condescending. If we hadn’t spent $50 on food/drinks and the movie tickets, I would have turned around and walked out of the theatre. Also, a simple sorry from the manager could have at least been said, but was not.

I do have to say though the young students working have always been great here and tonight was no different form those individuals.

It’s unfortunate because the theatre is nice and close to home, the seats are great, but when you having someone like that kind of manager you have working there, I’ll happily take my...

I'm editing my review as we had a bit of a negative experience yesterday. The movie we were watching stopped about 25 minutes in (which happens, technology sucks sometimes) and they said it would be a few minutes to fix it. They offered free popcorn and drink refills as compensation which is great....for people who had bought popcorn and pop. It took about 15 minutes or so to get the movie back up and running but instead of playing it from where they left off, they restarted the entire movie. My friend was texting her husband to check on her kids while waiting for the movie to catch up to where we left off (normally she wouldn't be on her phone during a movie of course) and was told to put her phone away by staff. If this had happened at Cineplex, movie patrons would have been offered free movie passes for the inconvenience. Instead only those who had bought popcorn and pop were offered any sort of compensation. Overall I still love this theater buy perhaps they need to go over some policy for these types of situations.

Literally the best theater I have been to. I drive from Wasaga Beach because they have great prices, you can reserve your seat online ahead of time which means no waiting in lineups hoping to get a good seat and also the seats are beyond comfy. Staff are always friendly and helpful. This is my go to...

MY CUP HOLDER WAS FILLED WITH FINGER NAILS!!!

This theatre continues to be run poorly.

It is unhygienic and needs to be health inspected for cleanliness.

Today was a repulsive heath hazard. See image attached. MY CUP HOLDER WAS FILLED WITH FINGER NAILS!!!

Not eco friendly! QR on phone or even home printing is not accepted. You need to print tickets on arrival.

Every time we go whether it’s busy or no one is there, the floor is covered in food everywhere including under the cash desk while staff stand behind counter staring or sit in office. Very unhygienic and disgusting. When it’s not busy pick up the food.

It takes the staff forever to give you your order even if you are the only customer. Poor selection of items and drinks.

Most of the time we miss the beginning of the movie even if we arrive 30 mins prior, pre-purchase tickets and go at a quit time.

The popcorn boxes are always leaking grease, the staff warns you that they can’t replace your leaking popcorn box.

No boxes or cardboards tray are provided to help customers carry items.

Ultimately this comes down to poor management and lack of hygiene and supervision. It really disappointing.

We were very regular customers, however this theatre has continued to go downhill. The staff is rude and seem untrained.
