Holiday Village Snow Tubing — Attraction in Niagara Falls

Very disappointed Holiday Village. Came on a Friday evening. Initially paid for the family pass, which gives you 90 minutes of tubing. Chose 7-830. Came early and learned that there is no activities to do like the website states. No covered/indoor midway. No rides. This really needs to be changed as it gives the impression that there are rides and on the website even states carnival type rides. Definitely nothing of the sort. No other activities at all. The walk through light area was not on, just some light up houses. All we could do was sit by the public fire , go into the cafe to get coffee/snacks or pay for a fortune teller to give us a 5 min reading.

Decided to ask to upgrade to unlimited tubing because there was nothing else to do there and they charged us for a family of 4 - an additional 140 dollars on top of the 105 for the original family pass. Ended up waiting in 30 minute lines and riding the tubes maybe 5 times in total. What really upset us was families that only paid for family pass and had an allotted 90min time were able to continue to ride well past their time limit. Spoke to a few people who said they had been riding for 2 plus hours and never had to pay any additional cost nor were asked how long they had been tubing. Not fair. Took my money no problem to upgrade to unlimited tubing yet didn’t monitor others that only paid for the 90 minutes. Was very disappointed that we paid the additional money.

Now let’s talk about VIP. We were not allowed to upgrade to VIP fast pass because they said there was a limit yet several times we saw people without VIP bands in the VIP line and allowed to rush past us all no questions asked. The man at the VIP line wasn’t even asking people to see their VIP bracelets and even small kids were just walking in the fast pass line and being allowed on without having to show proof. The way the lines are set up, once you finish your run, you need to walk back along the line of people waiting to ride and so many times we watched kids and some adults just bud back into the line without going to the end. Terrible set up and I feel like I was completely ripped off. I paid over 250 dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids and all we did was ride the tube hill 5 times.

This place is okay, we still managed to had fun yesterday (Friday 1/3) & staff was really nice. The man on the top (who I forgot to ask for his name) was the best, giving us games, sending us to “the moon” and he was very friendly with everyone, he deserves a bonus. But… for the price is definitely not worth it. I got the VIP for 5 people and total was $356 once we got there and did our first slide, I kinda knew I wasted my money or felt like a scam. The line for VIP was empty but once you got in the middle people were taking the VIP line and we had to wait several times. If I’m paying all that money, they should be taking me all the way to the top without waiting, there was no control there. They only ask for the wrist band on top maybe twice and if they were already in the VIP line they just didn’t say anything to them. For this to be worth it needs to include a snack, drink, extra game in the inside and definitely lower the price. We did the big slide only and like 13 times in two hours & we got stuck in the middle multiple times and we had to walk the slide. There’s only two slide and not that big… Again, VIP for $71 per person not worth it, the slides were not good. I do have to say we only waited on top for like 5minutes because they had no control for the lines. The regular line was long and we skipped that but still not good for the price. The only way I will come back is if they upgrade the slides-equipment, more slides, better price, more organized & more benefits (adding laser tag or other games) for the VIPs.

UPDATED REVIEW: The owners really went out of their way to make this right and reached out to invite us back. This time the experience was a great one and I’ve changed this review to a 5 star rating because of the friendly staff, fun experience (this time with an acceptable wait time of around 20 mins between rides) and the owners who care about their customers and take customer service seriously. ORIGINAL: Really fantastic idea and could have been a great experience if it had been well organized and properly controlled. There was clearly no cap on the number of people allowed in, resulting in a 1 hr 25 wait time for one ride.
