The car is great for the most part but after my last few visits to the service center, I don’t think I’ll be buying another one. Suspension started failing after about 100,000km. This is a known issue. Tesla won’t recall or fix the issue despite there being technical bulletins out detailing how it’s a known problem. This is a critical safety problem that the service centre tries to gaslight me about. First “there is no service bulletin”, then it was “okay these things are common” which led to “okay so there is a service bulletin, but it’s not a recall” which led to “there has never been a catastrophic failure” That’s kind of odd since their parking lot is littered with cars with wheels angled sideways from suspension failures. $3000 later I get the car back with a dent next to the wheel well. I schedule a visit to the service center and send them pics. When I show up I’m told, and I quote, “it is not possible that our techs did that”. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t, but to say it’s impossible? That’s pretty rich. If that’s how they felt, they could have sent me a message saying so, rather than waste my time coming to the center. The man at the service desk tells me I should have called them or just brought the car in instead of scheduling with the app. Previous times when I’ve come in they have turned me away telling me I have to schedule with the app. Great car (minus the known suspension issues and panel gaps), but the post warranty service is abysmal, disrespectful, and borderline fraudulent. Here’s some pics of the suspension issues littered throughout the Tesla lot that have “never catastrophically failed” If you want to know how well known it is, just Google search a Reuters article about suspension failure on Teslas and how poorly it’s being managed.

I’ve been coming to this location many times and each time my car has a new issue… Not to mention that rental cars very dirty when delivered to customers. And they can’t guarantee you getting one either. Waited today for over 3.5 hours and no rental or Uber voucher was offered to me. Which caused me to cancel my appointments. I couldn’t leave dealership to even drink or eat anything, and their self serve is empty. (Pictures attached below) Nevertheless, brought my car in for service for the 6 times for the same reason at this location. My steering wheel vibrates which is a safety issue, and I was told because my tires are after market, is the reason for it. Tires are brand new and apparently they are not Tesla approved. I still don’t understand what a Tesla approved tire is. I was told that I need to buy Tesla approved tires that are, $395 plus tax each not including installation. Which is crazy and ridiculous. My tires are new and they balanced it 2 times in the Spam of 4 months, and charging $151 plus tax. This price is unacceptable and not covered under warranty. Apparently it’s a very reasonable price to charge all customers, even after Having me wait 3.5 hours for nothing. everywhere els charges you less basically they charging this price because it’s Tesla. I am not happy at all, i have to battle for every single little thing for them to look at it. for sure not ever buy a Tesla ever again, customer service is not equivalent to what you pay for. if you want to camp out at the service centre go ahead and make the stupid purchase. Yes you won’t pay for gas but for sure will waste time here and will get charged extreme prices for it and long wait times.

Came in to test drive the model y. Diana our advisor was extra helpful and allowed us an opportunity to try the also the model 3.She gave us excellent advice on the vehicles. We ended up taking the model y performance. Our overall experience at this tesla location has been great, no pressure and from our advisor Diana. Her willingness to assist us with all our questions was very much appreciated and we would recommend others to stop by at this location. Cant wait to get our vehicle. Edit (April 26th, 2022): Contact staff (Diana) via email, staff member was extremely prompt, mind you I sent multiple emails, and she was able to answer them all quickly and efficiently. Really appreciate the clarity and exceptional customer service. (= The waiting room was alright, came for the car not the waiting room so I really could care less. (= Update June 10th 2022: Got my vehicle, staff was very helpful, providing me insight on what I need to do after my vehicle collection. Along with many helpful tips on accessories to get to protect the car, cleaning/detailing, and advice and walk through to the vehicle.

I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews but this had to be done. Took my car in because the driver seat warmer stopped working, i was told it should be done by the end of day, but it ended up taking 2 days. I guess they didn't have any loaner cars because all they offered me were Uber vouchers, which I was fine with. When I picked up my car 2 days later, the first thing i noticed was loud popping noises whenever I sit down and/or get up, so it was obvious that the seat cushion was not installed properly. The service team must have noticed it too because it's so obvious that it's impossible to miss. But they chose to ignore it and deemed the service "complete". Also, I noticed two new scratches on my car, which weren't there when I brought the car in. I booked another service appointment asap and explained all of this via the app, and they asked me to take pictures of the new scratches, which I did. I brought it in a second time and was again offered Uber vouchers. When I picked it up the next day, there was a brand new issue with the seat cushion, something to do with the pressure sensor because now the car wouldn't recognize me sitting in it. And the 2 new scratches were not addressed at all, service team just completely ignored them. So i traveled all the way to Oakville only to have to leave my car there again, for the 3rd time. Finally, on the following day (and 2 weeks after i first brought my car in) they seemed to have fixed everything with the seat cushion, and they cleaned my car inside and out, which i appreciate. However the scratches are still there, and at this point...just forget it, it's not worth the hassle for me, I'll just have to fix them myself. As I keep having to bring my car back in, at no point did any one acknowledge or apologize for all the delay and inconvenience. They just acted like nothing wrong happened and took 0 responsibility, this annoyed me more than anything in this whole ordeal. Safe to say i'm never going back to this service centre again, 0/5 would...

We went for a test drive, so we aren't owners. For that experience, I would like to a 5 star rating. A lovely lady (dark blonde hair, sorry don't know her name) greeted us immediately and I said we are here to meet Michael for a test drive appointment.

A few minutes later, Michael greeted us. Because it was winter and snow on the road, their only AWD with winter tires was already out for a test drive. But we kinda wanted to try the RWD (since it's cheaper). Michael kindly arranged it for us on the spot. And, we greedily asked if we can also try the AWD when it came back. Michael said Yes , that should be doable!

Michael was super informative, very knowledgeable, I asked many detailed questions, as I'm a Tesla fan already, so I knew all the basics. Took time to show us all the features like someone would if I was here to pick up my car.

We drove for quite a while, longer than I would allow any potential customers if I was the sales guy, then switched to the AWD. We tried Autopilot on the highway and just from that short demo, my wife already added Autopilot as a must. We can sacrifice on the premium package if need be.

When we got back, Michael ran through all the numbers, and what's great about him is his honesty. Told us the range but said take 10% off because of charging recommendations, things like that. Didn't hide things you would get from a gas car dealerships.

In the end, we spent 2 hours there. I could see his staff was cleaning up, I'm sure it was closing time. At no point did Michael seem like he needed us to leave. Especially we weren't gonna buy that day, as the battery trim want even available yet, we all knew that.

My big thanks to Michael, Tesla Oakville. I was already a fan, the most important is that my wife is also happy too. And we all know, the wife's okay is the most vital part!

Needless to say, Tesla cars are gorgeous!! Why anyone would spend the same amount or more on a BMW or Audi just boggles my mind. Tesla is future...

Watch out before you buy a shiny high tech Tesla, as their reliability is poor and their service is awful. I’ve been having a lot of trouble with Tesla Oakville’s service department. One time I had an air suspension problem and they said it needed a main air compressor, three out of the four suspension units, some air lines and it would cost $3-5000! I took it to a nearby EV specialist (Shift Electric Vehicles—they’re excellent!) and they replaced an air hose and said everything else was ok. Total cost wasn’t $3-5000 but instead $200! The power moonroof went later and they said it needed two motors, cables and the entire panoramic roof had to be replaced for, you guessed it, $3-5000! I said forget it! Now, I had to fix the A/C system and they overcharged me and said $10,500 worth of work was needed! I’m convinced that not every part had failed as I’m sure they didn’t test each part and just replaced the entire system instead! You have to go to Tesla for this though as multiple independent shops were not able to activate Tesla’s proprietary system. Not only did they overcharge me, but they damaged the front bumper and grill. They charge $1000 to remove and replace it because they need to get at the A/C system. What’s next, a charge for opening the hood!?! After numerous texts and pictures and video sent and I made an extra trip to see a Tesla approved body shop, Edwin, a service manager said they weren’t going to do anything because my parts were aftermarket parts. Apparently it doesn’t matter if their mechanic breaks parts if they are aftermarket parts! Also, I had to replace a self-presenting door handle ($400), but it has a horrible squeak and has about 10 dents from where the mechanic smashed it with a ball peen hammer! I spoke with Kevin, Edwin’s supervisor who said he’d look at the pictures and video about 10 days ago but now, after ignoring my last two voice mails, I have to go public with...
