We were very lucky to have a guided tour on our visit. Our tour guide really brought Sir Banting's personality to life. Such a fascinating person!

Our tour guide also engaged our son in a scavenger hunt. We've been to a few museums with him and done other scavenger hunts but this guide was stellar in maintaining his interest, and with such a sweet prize at the end. I know he will treasure the experience.

I was very moved by the story of Sir Banting's epiphany and seeing one of the presentations of how a young child's life changed after this discovery was particularly touching.

I also liked the contemporary exhibit on tattoos. It was a nice addition to bring the museum to today's times as well.

I would heartily recommend this museum as a top attraction that will educate and inspire you. We visited to fill our roadtrip to Pelee Island and it was an absolute hidden gem, and the best part of our first day of our...

What a gem we have in London here! Had an excellent tour learning about how Sir Frederick Banting's Eureka moment when and how he discovered insulin. He led an extraordinary life (did you know he served in both world wars??) Also learned how Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother visited here in 1991, interesting story as well, This only scratches the surface. It's worth 2 hours of your time to visit this site at least once! You'll be glad you did. Very inspiring.. Admission was $7 per person Parking is either on the street (Queen St) or in the municipal parking lot right before the museum on Queen St (which is a one way...

What a lovely welcome we had from Hannah. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the museum and the discovery of insulin.

We visited while on holiday from England. My son is a type 1 diabetic so when we decided to come on holiday to Canada, a visit to Banting House and the Flame of Hope was a must. It did not disappoint. Very humbling to stand in the very room where Banting wrote his hypothesis. We will be forever grateful for the discovery of insulin and for the work that Banting and Best put into finding a way of living with diabetes.

Also though the flame is amazing, I hope to see it...

As such importance of this place is well beyond giving any star rating . People with wisdom and foresight have converted the residence of Sir Fredrick Grant Banting, the discoverer of Insulin drug in to a Memorial . He has indeed given a fresh lease of life to countless diabetic patients. To commemorate his contributions to humanity his statue is erected and many eminent and prominent people have paid their tributes. Me and my wife being a diabetic couple, we paid our tributes on our and also on behalf of several our relatives and friends .....
