I’ve been buying tech products for years, and nothing has come close to how infuriating my experience with Canada Computers has been. If you're planning to make a purchase with them, think twice. On July 11th, I attempted to purchase a high-end gaming PC. The payment transaction was completed successfully but when I returned to the CC website nothing happened. Canada Computers never created the order. No confirmation. No receipt. No order history in my account. Just a $ to pay on my credit card. What followed has been a total nightmare. I have provided all of my payment and personal information multiple times through tickets, emails, and phone calls, been met with vague apologies and repeated messages telling me to wait. Then, they simply answered "No order is registered here, you have to purchase again" and had my support ticket closed while the issue was still unresolved. I emailed their e-commerce specialist basically bagging for a refund, with no proactive response. Had to chase their support team constantly to get any clarity and finally got a refund (1 week after the original purchase). Then I went to purchase the computer again and surprise... it's $ 700 more expensive. After 2 or 3 days of more calls and emails, got a "there's nothing we can do" from Vivian Ho. 1 more day of research and I couldn't find the specs I needed so I decided to give them another chance and "lose" 700 bucks. Payment done, this time with an order but still "Payment Pending". 2 days passed and their website still showed my order as "Payment Pending", even though the bank confirmed the payment was sent. I’m still waiting, without a product, with no compensation, no escalation, no resolution. What makes this worse is the absolute lack of urgency or accountability. It should not be my job to constantly follow up on a payment I already made. If your system fails, your team should be moving mountains to make it right. Instead, I was stuck in limbo while support shrugs it off with generic replies. The computer arrived, almost 2 weeks after the original purchase and... IT'S A PIECE OF SHIT. Didn't boot up on the GPU HDMI, switched to the motherboard HDMI booted but with constant freezes and reboots in Windows setup. I decided to check inside and the RAM was partially inserted on the MB. They didn't "clip" or lock it. The GPU was also loose, some screws of the tower were screwed without hitting the proper attachment are (they didn't insert it in the hole, but to the side of it). A complete disaster. Going to return this and have my money back before it's too late. I will never buy from Canada Computers again. But TLDR, they might have broken my laptop during repair, refused to give me straight answers, wasted everyone's time and just, terrible customer service.
First time it's because my laptop won't boot. They said it's motherboard issue, they did their repair in ~21 days, good. But they returned my laptop without any screws, and I had to call them myself to get the news on my laptop. Then I found out my laptop doesn't seem to charge, I think it's motherboard issue again, I suspect they might have broken something, so within 30 days I brought my laptop for the warranted repair. This is when things go straight downhill. They called, telling me to bring my ram and stuff, but its far away so I refused at first. I doubt it's related, and more importantly, they have their own hardware for testing. THEN THEY SAY "THEN IT'S READY FOR PICKUP" I was sceptical, so I asked what's the battery level they saw, are they seeing the issue etc. THEY COULDN'T GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER. So it raised my suspicions even more. I called 30 mins later, that's when they folded and said there's indeed issue with the battery level. THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TURNING ON THE LAPTOP BEFORE ASKING ME TO COME FOR PICKUP. Even after that, they were like "you're sure you want me to send this to hq?". I'm getting the passive-aggressive tone, but I won't say for sure, benefit of the doubt. So I replied, "If that is the only way to fix this issue." Then of course they delayed it until it's 30 days to even check what's wrong this time, cause they're not getting paid this time. Then they just say "it's unrepairable" on the phone. No a single detail, I only learned some of it later. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY BROKE SOMETHING DURING THEIR FIRST REPAIR, CAUSING THIS ISSUE. THEY NEVER GAVE ME AN EXPLANATION, EVEN WHEN I ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES. Based on the 1-star review you can probably tell they also gave me an attitude when I asked one last time when I picked up the laptop, at least one of them did. But at least they finally told me they did think it's motherboard issue and they couldn't source the part. And when I brought up the warranty, the very first thing that one employee said without hesitation was "No its only for within 30 days". My guy, it is within 30 days. So they checked and finally folded and gave me the refund, realising I do have everything on hand, including the original receipt. I had been experiencing a blue screen issue with my gaming PC. Provided little information to Jordan with little technical knowledge about computer troubleshooting, and yet somehow didn’t feel like clueless by the end of the conversation. Jordan was very transparent and thorough in what he “thought” it could be and also explained all possible scenarios with potential costs. During this time Jordan displayed customer service capabilities that are not seen as often as they should be in today’s day. His level of professionalism, technical knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to provide a solution to a customer in need was by far beyond my expectation. I strongly believe Jordan should be acknowledged for displaying such characteristics as this can be all the difference in establishing a true relationship with the customer and ensuring their loyalty. Jordan promptly provided all details in what is completed during a diagnostic as well as discussed a cleaning option as my desktop was quite dirty/dusty. Jordan advised that the level of “dirtiness” may not even be a potential cause of the problem and suggested we hold off on cleaning until the diagnostic is confirmed, mitigating any unnecessary expenses! I was advised I should hear back within 1-2 days and was called the next morning after dropping it off the evening prior. Jordan explained his whole process and his findings. I was updated in a timely manner to ensure communication was present and I felt completely in the loop as I was notified in such a short period of time with what he believed to be the issue. I have came back home, successfully ran games, streaming platforms and daily activities with ZERO returning issues. This is by far the lengthiest review I’ve ever written but I think it speaks for itself when you bring your expensive gaming computer to Canada computers for diagnostic and receive your Unit back within 1 day, fixed and cleaned looking better than ever and not having a huge invoice!
