We had a very disappointing experience at Masala Papad Indian Restaurant. From the moment we placed our order, the service was slow and unorganized. We ordered multiple snacks, expecting a timely and enjoyable meal, but instead, we faced unnecessary delays and a lack of attention from the staff.
The first issue was the long wait time. Despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, it took an unreasonably long time for our snacks to arrive. We kept waiting, assuming they were preparing fresh food, but as time went on, it became clear that the delay was due to poor service management rather than any legitimate reason.
To make matters worse, they completely forgot to bring one of the snacks we had ordered. We waited patiently, thinking it might just be slightly delayed, but after seeing no sign of it, we had to get up and enquire about our missing item. Instead of an apology or a proactive approach, the staff seemed unbothered, as if it was just another common mistake. Only after we specifically asked about the missing snack did they finally bring the egg puff. By then, we had already lost our patience, and the experience had been ruined.
While I understand that occasional mistakes happen in restaurants, the lack of attentiveness and responsibility from the staff was unacceptable. There was no effort to check on our order or acknowledge the delay until we actively brought it to their attention. Good service is just as important as good food, and in this case, the service was simply terrible.
In terms of food quality, the items we did receive were decent but not exceptional enough to overlook the poor service. Even the egg puff that finally arrived after so much delay was just average—definitely not worth the wait or the frustration.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The lack of efficiency, the forgetfulness of the staff, and the failure to provide a smooth dining experience made this visit incredibly disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless they seriously improve their service. If you’re looking for a place with good food and reliable service, you might want to...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of ordering takeout from Masala Pappad, and I must say it was an absolute delight. This establishment stands out from the rest, offering a remarkable selection of dishes, including authentic Kerala style beef, which is quite a rarity to find in Ontario. The highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the outstanding quality and taste of the food. The flavors were rich, aromatic, and truly reminiscent of the authentic Indian cuisine I have come to love. The beef dish, prepared in the traditional Kerala style, was a standout. The tender meat, perfectly seasoned with a delightful blend of spices, took me on a culinary journey back to the flavors of Kerala. It's truly commendable to find a place that pays attention to the regional nuances and delivers such an authentic experience.
I was also impressed by the restaurant's commitment to quality and hygiene. The takeout packaging was sturdy and well-sealed, ensuring that the food arrived in perfect condition. The attention to detail and the care taken to maintain high standards of cleanliness further added to my confidence in the restaurant's dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience.
If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, particularly the authentic flavors of Kerala, I wholeheartedly recommend this Indian takeout restaurant. The delicious and flavorful food, especially the beef prepared in the authentic Kerala style, is a true standout. Combine that with the friendly service and a commitment to quality, and you have an Indian dining experience that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. I cannot wait to order from this restaurant again and explore more of their delightful...
Read moreI went to this restaurant in person and bought food and one of the employees told me that dine is only for snacks and drinks…. Why would if I spent over 50 dollars, if I spent money on my food at your restaurant in person then I as a customer should be allowed to eat at the restaurant you don’t tell customers that it’s dine in only after you take a payment. I had to go to the near by wendies with my wife to go eat the food I bought at your place masala papad.
The food itself wasn’t even worth the price, the chicken 65 that I purchased wasn’t even enough to feed a rabbit, and the fish curry was way too salty and bland, I specifically asked it to be spicy, and the porratha was so hard, they are suppose to be soft and melt into your mouth, instead feels like you are chewing on a brick. Also atleast include some napkins with the order and some utensils, if I paid 50 bucks that’s the least someone can expect for a “take out only order”.
Turn down that loud music, it’s incredibly disrespectful for customers that want to have a conversation with their friends.
Needs less to say never coming to your restaurant again and neither am I recommending this to anyone I know,...
