A lovely place to walk along the Millennium Boardwalk and read about the history and way of life of the people of Pembroke and see pictures of Pembroke from the 1800s and early 1900s. There's a 2hr free parking nearer the park (be careful of the paid parking lot ...read the signs). There are a children's playground and giant sundial, a few picnic tables, benches, pagodas, plaques, and lots of shade. There's also a checkers board painted on a tree stump and two wooden seats... Very nice feature if you want to play and bring your game pieces. The Marina and boat launch is on one end where you can get food from the food shop. I visited on the Saturday of Victoria Day and was surprised that the washrooms were locked! There was a building on the other end beyond the Kiwanis Way arch but I didn't go that area due to time. Maybe there's a washroom there? You can also visit the Riverwalk Amphitheatre, the Courtyard and the Woodland Chapel.

A beautiful park on the bank of Ottawa River, where one can spend quality time with friends and family. There are lots of mature trees giving plenty of shade. And there are also plenty of picnic benches. A point of attraction is the boardwalk going around along the river bank. There are also a few gazebos beside it where one can rest and soak in the sight of the water and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. This park also has a children's play area, which is an added attraction. The restrooms are nice and very well-maintained. And, finally, there is plenty of parking. The only downside, for an angler like, me is the dearth of proper access points to be able to throw in a line. However, that is a minor inconvenience compared to what this park has to offer.

This little park is a nice stop with little ones. The play structure is interesting enough for a variety of ages, from 18months to 10-12 have been spotted. Also, there is enough room for kids to pass each other. We also like to walk along the pathways and boardwalk, wander the lawns, hunt for painted rocks. This time there was a big group of older kids (a high school drama class maybe?) on the lawn. Considered going to a different park, but then decided it would be good for my covid-raised toddler to at least watch a big group of big kids. We ended up dancing to the chants they invented.
