Place d'Orléans, situated in the east end of Ottawa, offers a shopping experience that is as enjoyable as it is diverse. With its impressive selection of stores, immaculate surroundings, and excellent customer service, it has become my preferred shopping destination.

Read moreThe shopping center is nice, has many branded shops inside. However, there are some drawbacks:
Pros: Very nice covered parking Availability of such shops as H&M, Marks, Hudson's Bay, small SoftMoc Amazing huge Sport Check store is located on the second floor. Not overcrowded, even on Black Friday. I would put it also to cons. In my opinion it is because they do not have enough shoes, toys stores and the biggest reason is still interior decor. To conclude, this shopping center has a lot of potential if they change interior decor and attract shops that people are looking for. For me, Saint Laurent is the one they should take example from. After train station will be built, I think they should expand the building and adapt it to people who would arrive on train. Update 2022: Love that they added a lot of benches for sitting inside. Update 2023: The trade center if full of exciting events. One of the best places to visit...
Read moreThis review is strictly based on their Christmas Santa. We arrived and waited on a Monday to see Santa. It's really sad to see how Place D'Orleans has allowed such capitalism of Christmas. I fully understand a small monetary fee to pay for the expenses associated with the staff and decorations, no problem. However, the cost is $20 per photo, and when we asked if we could also quickly even get a photo with all the family right after the kids, they told us that it counts as another pose and that it would be an additional $20. That's $40. And guess what? Even though we already paid the $20 for a picture of our nephew at Christmas, if you try and take an additional photo, Sanat will put his hands up to block his own face, or your child face, until you put your phone away. This notifies the staff you are taking a photo with your own phone EVEN if you've already paid for it. The fact that they train the Santa to do this is really sad. And furthermore, the fact that they say $2 of every $20 goes to Cheo is even more sad. That's such a tiny amount of how much they are pulling in, and yet they're using that $2 to make it sound like they're not being completely greedy!
See photos of how Santa will block your phone. Such a...
