Shawarma Kitchen — Restaurant in Ottawa

Had a great Chicken Shawarma sandwich. I love Lebanese food, and it is evident here that the owners and key staff are Lebanese. Impressive to find this kind of restaurant-style quality and freshness at a food court! While other food court restaurants just sell "plastic" food, these guys are not a franchise, so they have actual fresh food. When I complimented the staff on this, they gave me a tour of the kitchen. The walk-in cooler in particular was a revelation: full of fresh fruits and vegetables, and super clean. I've never seen that in a restaurant. This more than anything convinced me that it was more than worth paying a couple of bucks more than you would pay at any of the franchise outlets....

Honestly, don’t expect them like most good shawarmas in Ottawa. There’s like no lineup, and when you look at their food, they don’t look fresh. Everything looks pricey.

I ordered a mixed platter, in which their chicken, beef and rice were all very dry, their salad has too much vinegar, and neither are their potatoes any good. It’s possible you could get food poisoning from them. I hope that they shut down soon since it’s one of the worst shawarmas I’ve encountered.

Overall, nothing is good from here, waste of money and time. I’m never planning to buy from here again. I would give them zero...

Horrible. They are not genuine. I got early lunch, even though they had ready chicken barbeque, what he gave me was from the pot behind him, from left overs, probably the day before, it was not fresh at all!!!!the chicken was like rubber, and had wird spice and color, tasted more Indian, probably they added spices to cover the odd taste!
