Rideau Falls are beautiful and offer a very calming and serene experience. Located where the Rideau River ends and flows into the mighty Ottawa River, the falls are a stunning natural sight. While the area features a nearby hydro dam that produces electricity, the falls themselves are natural. The combination of natural beauty and the impressive engineering of the dam creates a unique and peaceful setting. Highly recommended for a relaxing visit!

One of the best waterfalls in Ottawa. It also has a garden and a walkway. When you walk on the bridge the water of the falls hits your face and you feel fresh. You can have a tour in the fall if you want, there are a couple of ships around the area. You go there with your family, and friends or just alone. I loved the atmosphere here.

It was roaring like the river of my hometown, Panjshir. Every time I need a break, I go here.and listen to the sound of.the water. The view is spectacular. Highly recommended.

Awesome Place. Hidden so not very busy. Picturesque. The Rideau Falls into the Ottawa River. Great view of Gatineau across the river. You can walk over the Falls which is Amazing to be when the sun is setting. The Falls must be viewed from all angles including taking a Boat ride that will let you feel the mist. If you want to see the Falls in Action you must visit in early Spring when the water is Thundering over or when their is a heavy rainfall. The Falls is surrounded by numerous Embassies including the Governor General Estate a must visit, take a Picnic. Make sure and look for the Minto Bridges and Stanley Park.
