Was at Stanley Park for the Beechwood Market on a Saturday morning. Overall it’s a nice park, with a playground for kids that has wood chips, and a separate section with sand that kids can play in. Also has a splash pad area. Big open fields and bike lanes allow for many types of activities. And of course the market has so much stuff! We go to pick up our veggie box from Two Beets Farm, and then always grab other stuff, my son loves to get blueberries ☺️

There’s fresh veggies, fruit, bread, cider, beer, coffee, soaps, Indian food, jams and even live music! Parking is tricky if you come later in the day as it’s only available on the street. It’s a nice place to spend a...

Plenty of open space to let your dog run and play. Clearly marked off-leash area, although it seems people don't mind if your well behaved dog is off leash in other areas of the park (but do avoid the children's play area regardless of whether your dog is leashed). There is also an area where your dog can swim in the canal (technically also not allowed) but the water can be a bit nasty so I prefer to avoid it. Park also has a small workout area where you can do pullups, a soccer field, and a small basketball court. There are quite a number of dogs here and it's pretty close driving...

They replaced some play structures recently and it looks really nice, not that previous structure weren't.

The day we visit it was a hot and humid day, kids played on all the structures and then went to the splash pads at the park afterwards to cool down. It was a perfect way for the kids to spend the weekend.

Also saw these weird wasp, it was a bit over two inches long... not sure if these are the giant asian hornet that are in the news killing off the honey bees... attaching the pic...

It's a great park. I bring my dog and 2 year old son here often. Only problem is the bikers on the path think they own the place. I had an incident where some asshat biker came flying down the path at a million KM per hour, and he almost hit both my dog and son, as my son was learning to use his bike with training wheels. Buddy tried to blame me. The guy is lucky he kept his teeth. Other than losers like this, it's a beautiful park, with a great view
