Sherwin-Williams Commercial Paint Store — Attraction in Ottawa

Although you can find cheaper brands elsewhere, the quality of the paints I purchased (painted outdoor brick and stucco) coupled with the incredible customer is something you can't put a price on...okay, well you can...but it's worth it. Quick shout out to Wayne who was beyond knowledgeable in all things paint, but also extremely patient and helpful in dealing with ALL of my unrelenting questions. Thanks again to Wayne and the rest of the staff at the Bank St. location and the staff at the Woodward location for all of your help! (Wayne moved locations, and he was "my paint guy"...haha!) Just catching up on this review because it's been 5 months since I was here. it's interesting to think about this place because I'm forced to remember the main impression left in my mind. It's a nice store but I remember waiting a good while for the one staff to finish his phone call and then wait for him to exchange remarks with his colleague who came in from the back before even being acknowledged. I remember thinking this is taking longer then it should, even though I wasn't even in a rush. I hope this was a one-off experience. But it makes me not want to go back there except for something I can't find...

Took on a large exterior painting project this summer and got tremendous advice from Wayne/team in advance of the project to discuss appropriate preparation and paint selection, given this was aluminum siding. Also got some timely tips prior to spraying to avoid several ongoing issues (potential for machine clogging). The Emerald line was the right pick. The paint sprayed really well, with amazing adhesion, and has since had tremendous water repelling action vs. the old paint. Can't say enough about the importance of the advice I received. Will be back again for the next project - brick painting. ...
