the staff + board are very unprofessional and discriminate against younger staff/volunteers of colour. If you attempt to bring up the mistreatment you will be fired/ let go with no reason the next day - this has happened more than once. Their proud to be racist and their behaviour is disturbing. If you’re a person of colour and plan on volunteering here be aware you may be subjected to this type unacceptable behaviour.

It was brought up to HR. Those who did voice their concerns of the mistreatment were let go the following days, invalidating their concerns with job termination while allowing the unprofessional staff to continue with this toxic work behaviour. The head of HR is very aware of what has been going on there. She did not take action to fix the problem by talking to all involved and retraining the unprofessional staff members who violate the so called professional work environment ethic that this gallery claims to uphold. Those in charge do not follow the HR manual that has been set in place to prevent incidents like this from happening, this is why employees constantly quit and several volunteers have left this organization.
In conclusion HR is part of the problem addressing them wouldn’t achieve anything.
This review is so future employee and volunteers are made aware of the possible miss-treatment they might endure while in this...

The entire gallery has been devoted to works in ink, paint and watercolour that try to capture the complex relationships that govern those who are trying to live out their lives in a perpetual war zone.
Admission to the Gallery is posted at $2.00 per person, but it is not enforced. The delightful attendant asked us if we could make a donation (which we did) and there was no requirement that anything be paid. In any case, it is posted as free on weekends!
There is plenty of free parking on site, and it is readily accessible from downtown Penticton. There is an interesting (quirky) gift shop.
The exhibition we saw will be gone in mid-September, but we're confident that this gallery will mount something else that is special in the...

His life long commitment to conservation was palpable. My 6 year old grandson saw the exhibit with his class. Later he talked about his favourite paintings, it made a deep impression on him. The Arts are so important to our society, we need to encourage and support them from the highest levels of government down to we...
