Saskatoon Farmers' Market — Attraction in Saskatoon

July 2023 was my first visit to the Farmers Market in its "new" location, and I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. The biggest disappointment was the lack of produce vendors. Sure, there were tables offering fresh fruit and vegetables, but nothing like what they used to be. There were a decent amount of craft, bakery and other vendors, but overall there was very little at the market that really stood out. One highlight was the gent selling fresh cut microgreens. Those were amazingly tasty, and a good price. Otherwise, I couldn't get too excited about anything for sale there. The location by the airport isn't great. There's no reason to be there other than for the Farmers Market, so for our family that's a planned trip to do one thing only. Parking was okay, so that's an improvement over River Landing. All in all, it's just a farmer's market, with nothing to really make it stand out. I'll definitely be back, but with tempered...

It's very easy to give the Saskatoon Farmers Market one star because they're just like a spoiled brat somebody who's been given so many perks and so much attention and have an unbelievable ability to do amazing things and they squandered it relentlessly. Their rent is zero they're building and locations amazing and yet they seem to be losing people every year they're behind the times the sooner that building gets taken over by somebody else or better management takes over and that group is reprimanded for the insane way that they run their business the better! I'm not knocking a lot of small business owners but there is an inherent sickness in the board that controls the farmer's market and I've witnessed it firsthand. I have visited the farmer’s market years ago before pandemic, it was amazing and fun. When my parents visit Saskatoon, I have brought them to have a view and tasted some international cuisine from different places. We both enjoyed Now, it moved to way faraway from downtown where has some parking lots, however, it is not friendly for people who do not have vehicles. Also, it is not so friendly for people have vehicles, parking spots are quite limited. Very good place for farmers introducing their products, and they are really friendly and patient to explain. I love this place and atmosphere, somehow the location moved to the north side where close to airport.
