The path around the river is a beautiful walk!!! It is usually well kept up with snow and ice removal through the Winter as well as the other seasons. Washrooms along the path are only the North side and almost always locked all Winter even though signs say they are supposed to be open. It would be nice the washrooms along the path were kept open from 8am to 5pm even in Winter. It would be wonderful.if they built some washroom facilities on the South side of the trail as well!! I know damage is an issue, which is unfortunate, as because of a few people who dont have the common sense to appreciate public, open washrooms to use, everyone has to suffer. Maybe an app that will remotely unlock the doors if someone makes a request? Then use can be monitored without having people right there. The parhs along the river make for a beautiful place to walk. There are parks and benches along the way where you can sit and enjoy the scenery for as long as you like.

Awesome place especially when Pelicans are there! Or the time ice is being melted you can see some really interesting scenes here! The other day I was watching ice falling from the waterfall( is that a waterfall or what?!) I didn't know ice here is this thick! It was about 30 cm thick! Last year I went here almost every day to see Pelicans and the way day hunt! It was awesome! This river and all nature around it is unbelievably beautiful Ow, I forgot to tell you about the frost during the winter! Iโve never seen such a thing anywhere else! Hope you enjoy it!

A place to sit and linger as the flow of the wier intices you to just watch the penguin, fisherman, train, bikers, dog walkers and hikers stroll by. Parking in your vehicle is available. Bring your lunch and enjoy the outdoors. Benches are nearby to sit and rest. Buy a coffee/ snack or lunch at the City Perk cafe on 7th ave. and venture down to the wier and people watch. A great place to bring the children for a walk and enjoy the colored foliage.

Summer time, the best place to visit for leisure. You will see some pelicans around, and other birds. Nature spot in city, help people feel back to nature and comfort. For a walk, or bike ride around the weir, take your time and enjoy summer. Winter time, it is little chill, but still a nice place to visit. Stand near the river and listen to the sound of nature, which purifies your soul. PS: the photo is from my camera.

The Weir is on the South Saskatchewan River along the Meewasin Trail in th beautiful city of Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. It is the fishing waters for a number of water birds including pelicans. After you have enjoyed The Weir you can walk across the Pedestrian Train Bridge and see an amazing view of the river and the Weir with the city of Saskatoon in the background.

This is a very beautiful view looking over the river. In this area is foot paths and fishing spots people visit regularly in the summer. You'll definitely see ducks and pigeons and other birds in the area. There is signs with little historical information about the area as well. It's beautiful place for a casual walk on a warm summer day.
