City Perks is a local community coffee shop with a great selection of drinks and baking. It also has a nice outdoor patio to sit and enjoy your visit and the weather. I have been here afew times now and am always glad I was with someone who knows me well cause I found it difficult to read the chalkboard menu here and I am not a frequent visitor here so I didn’t know the menu. Do to this and having visual difficulties I would not come here other than with someone who knows me well. It also is not the most friendly place for people with disabilities even though there is a ramp for wheelchairs or strollers but is not a lot of space around the front where you order. The staff member at the front around the till was friendly and helpful though. The desert and baking we had was also very good. I have had the strawberry chocolate brownie that was very good. The strawberry was the icing on top of the chocolate brownie you see in my photo and it was pretty sweet but enjoyed it. I also have had the Arnold Palmer lemonade to drink,it wasn’t my favourite lemonade but didn’t taste it and was glad I tried it. I have also tried the three hot chocolate and it is definitely not hot, it was pretty much room temperature but could definitely taste the chocolateI. Last time I was here I had a apple cinnamon crusaunt that was very good and sweet. would come back here again in the future but would hope it would be easier to figure out what to order and get.

Their menu looked great but it is limited to 11am-2pm. They do have some pre-made items in their pantry case such as soups and salads. Some of their desserts are on par with other coffee shops ($5 for a slice of cake), but other items are grossly overpriced (e.g., 1 normal sized slice of Irish cheesecake brownie was $10). Hot beverage prices were on par cost wise with other coffee shops in the city. The service was ok. The barista waited to serve me while she had a conversation with her coworker that could have waited. I was given the wrong size latte, but it was very delicious. The espresso is an excellent quality and the latte art was a nice touch. I will definitely return to give it another chance because the atmosphere is great, the bathrooms are clean, it's a great location, and the menu has a lot of potential.

Looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee while reconnecting with friends or diving into your homework? Look no further! This place offers a fantastic atmosphere, adorned with captivating art that adds a touch of beauty to every corner. And let's not forget their mouthwatering cinnamon buns, so irresistible that they alone are worth a visit. The staff here goes above and beyond, not only providing excellent recommendations but also radiating kindness and warmth. Trust me, you won't regret checking it out!
