I have been to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan several times and the performances are always wonderful. This year I saw opening night of The Merry Wives of Windsor and really enjoyed it. It took a few scenes for me to be able to anticipate the accent one of the characters spoke with, but I have no other complaints about the performance.

I was there on a very hot evening, and while that's part of the experience of open-air theatre, being uncomfortably hot did take me a little bit out of the action. There are paper fans and cold drinks available for purchase before the show and at intermission, but I wonder if there is some other (quiet) method of cooking a crowd that could be employed in the future--misting equipment, perhaps? Quiet bladeless fans?

It's wonderful to have a well-established, highly regarded cultural event of this calibre in...

We got to witness an extraordinary performance last night. BOGANI MUSA who normally plays Horatio took on the role of Hamlet. His performance was beyond perfect, and we were grateful to have witnessed it. The only down side of the evening was the fact that the switch in parts was never acknowledged by the company. Despite BOGANI'S perfect performance, the audience should have been informed of the change. We should have known from the start who we were on our feet cheering for. If they did post that the change was happening, and I just didn't see it, then disregard the above paragraph. We cannot wait to see BOGANI MUSA taking on more lead roles in the future! Thank you for an...

Watched a fabulous performance of “The Revenge of Juliette” Friday, August 16th. The actors had amazing energy, engaging the audience in a truly unique take on William Shakespeare’a heroines and their fates. The actors engaged our grand daughter in the play which for sure will be a life long memory for her. The content was definitely on the adult side but the more risqué stuff went over her head, ha ha. Although the play was not “The Taming of the Shrew” a shrew did make an appearance which only added to the overall experience. On the way home my wife said her jaw was sore from laughing during the play which is a pretty good...

What a lovely experience! The venue seats about 200 yet felt intimate and up close. For this reason, masks were required. There is alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available. Parking is plentiful and free. The show lasts about 90 minutes. Just remember, don't say Macbeth inside the theater! Say " That Scottish play " to avoid any bad luck.

Love Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan! What a great program and show they put on. Try to go to at least one of their productions every summer. Midsummer Night's Dream 1985 did not disappoint. Get yourself a ticket and support this local venue and program! Need to keep it alive for years to come.
