I have been to Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park over the years and think it is one of the best places for young children and families to have fun in the summer and parts of it in the winter. You can visit and enjoy the playground Spray park area for free at anytime. There is also 3 children’s amusement park rides here ,train, merrygoround ,and Ferris wheel that you need to buy tickets for as well as a consultation booth near the rides. Nutrien Playland also has a large green space surrounding the playground and rides to have a picnic or throw a ball around as well have other events in the park such as the Children’s Festival. Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park is in a great location of Saskatoon being directly across the street along Spadina Crescent from the Children’s Museum, the Prairie Lilly River boat and the South Saskatchewan River as well as across Kinsmen Park from the YWCA and City Hospital. I come here every once in a while with my nieces and family to spend some time as well as l live near by and will be back soon. How ever I do recommend if you are hoping to get one of the few picnic tables here to show up early and are taken fast especially at the busy times.

The park is an absolute pleasure to visit and spend a warm summer day with the spray park and playground for the kids. You can Soar high above the city on the 20 metre high Ferris wheel or have a twirl on a bright and cheery carousel animal. Hop aboard for a whistle-stop tour on the Canpotex Train - a park favourite. This replica modern-day freight train rolls along a 626 metre loop through the park. Or you can follow the pathways around the park or run free in the play areas. Work the pumps, troughs and valves in the water area or tackle the log climber and double cable ride in the sand. With many beautiful trees and rocks in the natural play space, it’s easy to forget you’re in city centre. The play area is always open and there are no admission fees. However, the rides are more for younger kids and the cost is at 2.5 a ticket or 12 for 25.

Child-friendly park with superb playground structures for children and fee-based rides that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Fee-based rides are reasonably priced and include a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and a 6-minute train ride around the perimeter of the park. Free playground activities include a super-fast tunnel slide, zip lines, climbing structures and a hop on spinning disk. Restrooms on the premises. The train caboose is reserved for those needing accessibility accommodations.

Terrible service charging double or for a parent to ride the Mary go round that day when Marry Poppins was there ! Also it's a tradition not to charge double. That's not ok also I noticed the staffs family members there riding for free making other people pay for their rides as well as their friends. Then I seen a strange group of people lounging around drinking and partying around the playgrounds where alot of them were harrassing the parents and children. There needs to be security here for everyone and since the paddling pool closed down I have seen alot of garbage in this facility. This was on June 10th 2018. I also could not ride the trains that day as the trains kept on breaking down. I have been going here all my life I've heard the previous owners from like 15 years ago are trying to buy the park again with many other property's so people have been selling everything and moving away seeing as a lot of buildings are closing down I'm not surprised. I also heard from the grapevine people that these are potential candidates for always not running the rides properly as the same owners have been known for selling and rebuying and renaming the "nutritien playland" as well as many other places. Over the last decade. Not sure who the new owners are but the name says...

DO NOT RENT FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS!

We have visited in the past and previously found this to be a 4.5/5 star experience. After attending a private function, no more!!!

We were told we had unlimited access to the rides for an hour. While that appeared to be the case, they were so understaffed that they had only one ride open for the first 40 minutes!!! With ~250 guests, it took 40 minutes for us all to ride the ferris wheel. When they FINALLY opened the merry-go-round and train, there was time to ride each only ONCE!! To top it off, the staff member driving the train told us that the train was full and it was the last ride so we would not be allowed to board. When we explained we had not even ridden once, they very reluctantly agreed to do one additional run of the train.

Very very disappointed!!! I do not know how much our group paid for this private rental but it was ENTIRELY TOO MUCH! 😡😡😡 TERRIBLE job City of Saskatoon!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, this private rental has left such a sour taste in my mouth that I will hesitate to come back.

On a side note, if you attend during public hours, I would still consider this a 4 star experience, but beware that it can be very...
