Woodlands Water Play Park — Attraction in St. Albert

Went on a quiet evening with 3yod. It was 19 degree high. The playground area was pretty good, she was able to get on all the slides. There were some ladders, steps and wall climbs for older kids. No sand, just some soft rubber material which is a plus. The water was on with lots to do for kids of all ages to enjoy. Had two attendants supervising the water area and they would also be seen by the playground and doing a great job keeping the place clean. There are 3 washrooms, including a family room, the ones we used we very clean, except the hand dryer was not working. They also have a snack bar, got onion rings, slushies, ice cream, etc... expect to spend $5-20. Went back on a busier day, 30 degree high. They would have plastic chairs out for guests to use while watching the kids. Overall, would highly recommend as nice inner city family outing. Expansive and clean fenced in grounds offering a safe environment for kiddos to run around; featuring 3 distinct splash pads, good sized playground, and hilly grounds for running around or lying out a picnic blanket. There were ample and well maintained bathrooms, first aid station, lifeguards sitting watch, and yummy food at the concession stand. There may be limited seating options when crowded but plenty of space to bring your own chairs. And the parking lot may be crowded, so be prepared to walk as there is another lot available. My 9 year old daughter went here for a field trip and loved the park itself. The 1 star rating is for the lady running the concession. She was rude to my daughter when she ordered French fries. My daughter asked for a small fry (she would never order a large). She gave her $10 to pay and the lady gave her $3 back. My daughter said "don't I get $5 back?" The lady rudely said "no you ordered a large fry!"y daughters like "no I didn't " and the lady working aggressively took the $3 from my daughter's hand and threw a $5 bill at her.
