Second Cup Café — Restaurant in St. Albert

I thought I'd update my below review from March 2019. This past weekend we went back to this Second Cup since March and though the coffee shop was quiet and my wife and I ordered two drinks and they prepared me the wrong drink. Due to the heat, I never took a sip of my drink until 10 minutes later and then I had to drive back get my order fixed. I expected that for my inconvenience they would have prepared me a new drink, but nope, they just added the vanilla flavour to my drink. I prefer to support a Canadian company, but this location makes that very difficult.

This Second cup use to be my wife's and I go to coffee shop! However over the past 6-8 months the service has deteriorated to an alarming degree. This past weekend we went inside and ordered two drinks; it took 20 minutes before we received both of our drinks, meanwhile approximately 10 vehicles went through the drive-thru after we placed our order. Not hard to figure who has the priority. When they finally realized my drink was sitting on the counter for who knows how long, they just handed it to me without any apology and my drink was cold; but I was not prepared to wait another 20 minutes for my drink. If this only occurred once, then I would not be too concerned, however this exact same scenario occurred three months ago. I've witnessed the owner working in this location and she does not appear to care too much about the lack of service provided at this coffee shop. As I will only visit Second Cup as it's a Canadian brand, I only wish there was another one...

It's always been fun stopping by at places you never visited before, so this is one of the best places I would really recommend to anyone stopping by at St. Albert Alberta.

So, we did a drive thru to this coffee shop because my wife had a quick taste bud hunger for a Cafe Mocha from Second Cup we purchased the day before we headed to this location.

So we did a drive thru order and this lady from the menu intercom went above and beyond on our orders.

I was actually ordering my wife's Cafe mocha and still thinking about my order so I was trying to talk to her on the intercom but she can barely hear me because of the cars engine revving up behind us and by the road(the dt is closed by the main road) so she then asked us to proceed and offered to get our orders at the window. She smiled and greeted us cheerfully like it was a normal happy day and at that moment she sprinkled us her positive vibes.

Making the story shorter, she went above and beyond our expectations for drive thru coffee shop. Offered a very exceptional customer service and will definitely be back to that location when we stopped by at St. Albert.

I went here for my 1st time this weekend both Busy Days Sat and Sunday and the customer service was TOP NOTCH! smiles, taking time to explain to me A FEW items... NAVAEH and GRETTA you 2 are ROCK STARS and could teach other places customer Service...

I really APPRECIATE your PROFFESSIONALISM and after calling in today talking to the Owner TINA.... I see why this place is so well put together. She has An incredible caring attitude and appreciates you guys as much as us customers appreciate you! I will be back because every store should be like this🥰

P.s. My London Fog was incredible! Best I ever had at A Second Cup! My pecan bar heated up..Omg and The Ham and Cheese Sandwich heated up was Amazing!
