The Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre (or CIMM) is a 'must-see' if you are in Tadoussac, Quebec. It's a small but very informative centre that will help you understand the marine life in Quebec Maritime/Cote Nord and Saguenay/Lac St. Jean. Situated at the beginning of the Saguenay Fjords, this unique centre has displays and exhibits, a gift shop, plus a permanent collection of skeletal whale bones. There are introductory short films you can watch in the small theatre along with skeletal bones of whales (which you can touch), study and learn from in the museum.

We were the only people there when we arrived and took advantage of that to ask a lot of questions, which were all answered (in English) with great enthusiasm. We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend this to anyone passing by Tadoussac. If in town for a whale cruise, you may find packages that will include tickets for this centre, which makes going here an absolute no brainer! COVID-19 protocols were in place and we didn't get a feeling that it had much of an impact on our visit. Of course, it helped that we were the only people there at opening since the guide was able to help answer our numerous questions.
Again, I highly appreciated this visit and the staff's willingness to answer all...
