In terms of ambiance, this restaurant offers a cute little terrasse on the marina that offered decent shelter from the off and on thunderstorms. Unfortunately, we found the menu really limited, and were disappointed that it was missing some basics - for example, we saw that a regular beef burger that used to be on the menu wasn't there anymore. The only other burger they offered was a spicy thai pork burger.

I had the poutine which was below average for the area, and for some reason, (I suppose to make it look fancier/justify the price?) it had big chunks of pepper in it, which was just odd. I ordered the large and noticed it was served in really large but hollow dish to make it appear like you are getting more. The portions were really small and expensive for what you are getting. The kids had nuggets, which tasted like they just came out of a box and were reheated. My sister had the fish and chips which she thought was really good, though a smaller portion of fish than she would've liked. For drinks, I got the lemonade which looked amazing but tasted... not like lemonade, and not very good.

The server was nice but he was in a rush to get us out of there, taking a plate that was only half finished.

The bathrooms are in the other section of the restaurant with the boutique, and they were clean.

Overall, it wasn't an awful experience, but I probably wouldn't return! If we had to, we would stick to the...

Normaly i do not post but this service was upsetting. I wouldnt give it a star at all... Passed by on motorcycle, and thought it looked like a quaint place to eat, nice location. There were about 10 people on the patio including us 2 and a few inside. We sat for about 25 minutes and just chatted amongst the table. Waiters passed us a few times and never offered us water, a menu or to let us know they would be with us shortly. A couple sat down next to us (about 10 minutes after our arrival) and was served right away with drinks and menus. After another 5 minutes we politely asked the waiter passing if we could get some menus In which he replied "relax, you guys just got here." We never spoke to anyone in our 30 minutes there, other than to each other about our trip so we were a little taken back when we were told to "relax." We decided to leave and go somewhere different.

We had such a wonderful tour in Quebec and everyone was very friendly and kind (especially with our very poor attempt in french!) Tadousac (aside from this service)...

We visited Bistro de la Baie for a family dinner while passing through the area after reading positive reviews. The restaurant is located in a marina and if you get a patio or window seat the view is fantastic while you eat. The food itself is good, but I was a little a disappointed in the size of the fish fillets for the fish and chips. They resembled little nugggets instead of the typical larger pieces typically expected. It seemed they were understaffed, and unfortunately this meant absolutely no service for us. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes to have our order taken, and aside from being brought our food, our server never took a moment to check on us (we were there for about an hour). We then had to find him to request our bill and even then it took another 5 - 10 minutes to get it. I understand being busy, but it literally takes 10 seconds to do a quick check in to ensure everything is ok (i.e. we had asked for extra condiments when the food came, but never got...

Good food, nice view. We went as a family of 4 for dinner. We enjoyed the meal, just wished there was a little bit more of a variety, especially on the kids menu. There were only chicken nuggets and poutine. Another option would have been nice. (Was a few tables with children when we went, seems like a family type place.) The service was good, however it took a while to be seated because they have a bunch of tables for 3 people and not many for bigger groups. We thought it was strange that they were not seating people in doors as there was a lineup outside. The value of the meal was good. The prices were reasonable and the portions were a good size. The view of the marina on the backdrop of the city was beautiful as the sun was setting. I would recommend coming here.
