We have been visiting this park for many years now, it is a great park to visit during the spring, summer and fall months. We have yet to visit in the wintertime but it’s sure to be an enjoyable and scenic view with beautiful wintery vibes all around.
Naturally we chose to have our engagement photos here at the park in November 2019 and the experience was perfect. We selected to have the photos taken around 4 PM which worked out very well as there were a variety of photos in different parts of the park with each experience unique from the next.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of working alongside mother nature is the opportunities where anything can happen and not one moment is similar to the other. We loved the photos where we simply fit in and complimented the natural beauty around us, whether we were looking out towards the downtown area with the CN tower and city scape behind us, or where we were embedded into the tall decorative grass that surrounded us. The brightly lit sky from the sunset was absolutely beautiful creating a fiery yet subtle exit into the night.
The possibilities are endless and all were enjoyable, we love visiting this park and highly recommend everyone visit and enjoy the beautiful...
Read moreA great park for avid bird watchers who are looking at capturing stunning pictures. It is park for all seasons, except when there is a lot of snow.
It is right next to the Lakeshore Yacht club and offers good trails and views of downtown Toronto. Some of the walkways are not fully done so be prepared for a dirt track and slush if it has rained. The benches near the beaches offer great views and the ability for people who don't want to walk to still enjoy the park and lake.
Apart from the birds, the couple of beaches are filled with pebbles that often get visitors to put together Inukshuks. The water is clear although wouldn't recommend a dip it a swim.
Great location for dog walks and taking your family out. Be warned some of the dog owners don't leash their dogs here and for people who are scared of big dogs off leash, be careful. There is a large leash less dog enclosure near the parking that is convenient.
There are 2 parking lots, one paid which is also used by Humber college. But the one closer to the entrance of the park is free. Drive up to the second one before you decide to pay for...
Read moreThis is a prodigious natural area at the west end of Toronto. The Humber Bay Beach Parks are just 4.5 kilometers in the north to the east from here. After parking your vehicle in one of the three paid parking areas at the end of the park (free parking on weekends and holidays) and walking on a wide trail, the hidden lake and quite large sandy beach appear. There are plenty of tracks going in different directions and tens of winding beaten paths in the bushes. The beach was clean and easily accessible. On a hot sunny Sunday, about 4 p.m., all the sizable beach area was busy with several people enjoying various activities like swimming, canoeing, and boating. The alluring views of Toronto skyline and the CN Tower was very clear from the shore. Although the beach and most part of the tracks were clear of bugs, surprisingly, there were swarms and swarms of mosquitoes at some places. It is strange that there is no washrooms, or we could not find one, in such a humongous public place. Overall, this park has a lot to offer to the lovers of vegetation, birds, trails, and...
