My experience at this dynacare location today was extremely stressful, frustrating and disappointing in comparison to the many other times I have used this lab. I arrived fairly early at 730am, Saturday as one of my blood tests called for an early morning blood draw. I also had a urine test specified on the requisition. I held my morning urine for the purpose of completing the sample. The person who did my intake for registration argued with me that there was no urine on the req. I asked her if she was certain and she said yes, only blood. I asked again knowing there was urine on the req, she finally agreed and gave me a bottle. I explained that I held my morning urine in anticipation of this test and asked if I should provide the sample now. She said yes and told me where the washroom was (which is filthy). She said not to place the urine sample in the basket and to hold onto it, that someone would call me when a label was ready after my registration was completed as there was some backlog and I would receive a text message. I held onto the sample for almost an hour and waited inside the lab. I went up to the desk to ask if a label was ready, and explained what the other staff told me upon registering. This staff member offered me a new bottle with a label to provide a new sample as the one I was instructed to hold on to was no longer viable. At this point I expressed my frustration and said I would try to provide a new sample-which I did. Now I am called to have my blood taken and I explained to the tech my frustration and this specific test you are not supposed to be stressed or do anything strenuous for at least 30 minutes before and expressed my concern of the results potentially not being accurate. At this point the person who registered came into the cubicle to ask me what she did wrong. Instead of de-escalating the situation she was aggressive, raising her voice and completely changed her story saying she didn't tell me to do the sample and she didn't say she would call me back up to label the sample. I told her she shouldn't be escalating the situation further by arguing with me, she should be deescalating it. She then told me she treats everyone the same regardless of race color or creed which has absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand, which I expressed to her. I told her I am not going to argue with you, I followed the instructions you gave me. I told her I was going to complain to head office, I want your name to which she stormed out of the cubicle kissing her teeth and bad mouthing me to other staff, and said go ahead call them, I don't care if you call them! I called customer service to complain as soon as I left. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from this employee at dynacare. I trust that you will better train your staff in how to better organize and manage the registration process. Furthermore, train them in how to deescalate a situation like this instead of antagonizing and escalating it. All she really had to say was I think we may have had a miscommunication and I apologize for that. That it! Instead she was unaccountable, unprofessional, rude and evasive. I myself have worked in healthcare and know this is not how you manage this kind of situation. And then to bring up race color or creed is truly an insight as to perhaps how racist she really is. I hope you have the day...
Read moreI have been visiting this location for the past 6 yrs on a bi weekly and some times on a weekly basics and have never experienced the level of bad costumer service as I did today, I took my 73 yrs old mother who doesn’t speak English and because of the many health issues she has she requires lots of support, to start the line was wrapping half way around the building, luckily I have a chair in my car so I took it out set my mom by the door and had her sitting down so I would line up, as we kept approaching the lab I kept moving my mom, until we reach to the pharmacy as it was the more space for her to wait, as my turn comes, the employee at the door asked the COVID-19 question, and anything related to the test, then she asked to go to the left and line up to wait until I can go inside that’s when she ask if the test was for me, I said it’s for my mother, she asked if my mother was with me at that point I was making my way right to tell my mom what was happing and to come to the door when she sees me there, the employee turn to me and said “man to the left” she didn’t even let me answer and started telling to leave my mom sitting, no point to get her up cuz I have to line up anyways, when her turn to go in, I told her she didn’t speak English and will need my help, very rude she said you can wait outside I will call you when they are ready for her, so I went and waited by the pharmacy, I heard them calling my mom’s name twice and that’s when I decided to go in, the employee wanted to force me to put on sanitizer(interesting enough she wanted to force me to use sanitizer but she wasn’t enforcing proper mask wearing, which to me is the most effective was of preventing, there were some people with their mask under their nose) I said no I don’t need thank you, she started chasing me to the desk, and she wanted to kick me out, I said no I’m staying tight by my mother side, she said I will call you when they are ready for her, i said just like the same way you call me the first time? No thank you. I get you might be seeing more than usual, you might be working longer shifts and you might be tired, trust me I get as I work in a big box retail and we had gone thru in the past 2 months is unprecedented, understand we still humans, this person at the door today needs to be more patient and whatever frustration she has she should not be allowed to take it on costumers. it happened between 1030am and 12pm, I didn’t get her name but I’m sure it’s on your schedule who was assigned at the door...
Read moreWent to get blood work done. The lady that took my blood did not know how to do it. I am wondering if she is even qualified. When she inserted the needle it was very painful and I started seeing bubbles in the vile. I was scared but she didn’t even know she was doing it wrong. I have given blood samples before this was the worst experience. I did’nt think much of it and went home. Just after a couple hours I was not able to move my hand and i could see swelling and bruises around the area where she pricked the needle. I tried calling them but nobody answered the phone as well. I generally do not put out bad google reviews even If I don’t like the service because I like to think people make mistakes and it really affects the business but this is healthcare. It’s not a joke. P.S. the pictures are taken the day after. The swelling has gone down in the pictures but it was really bad the day I got it done. DO NOT VISIT...
